The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is one of the grand hotels of our past - and this hotel remains grand. With its large lobby and 2 story first floor; with its shiny glass and fabulous floors; matched with a first class staff - this is a...More
We are a family of 4 and staying in a one bedroom suite over Memorial Day weekend. As Fairmont members check in was a breeze as our keys were waiting at the president's club concierge on arrival.

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

Donand - there are plenty of Cafes within 500m walking distance to suit every pocket. One of the best Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in life is walking distance from Fairmont. It is behind Hyatt. I am forgetting the name but think it was Rue 909 Sushi. Then there is cafe at the crossing while going towards the water front. Again forgetting the name though.
