N49°16.122' W123°9.171' This B&B has an excellent website, with a Japanese section from their Japanese manager. The owner, Simone Aardema, greeted us in August 2015. She explained the road to the CAN$6 per day underground parking garage, a short walk from the B&B. Room number 1, the Wedgewood room, is in the back of the house on the second floor....

If you have a choice between a hotel or this B&B in Vancouver, it's a no brainer. We live only an hour away but when we want a night out in Vancouver, from now on this will be our first choice. We stayed in the Zen Suite. Everything was first rate and the location is awesome. Thank you Sam for...

We have stayed at this B&b for 3 nights. 2 nights in Zen suite with private entrance and bathroom and 1 night in cozy kits room with shared bathroom. We loved our stay! The breakfasts were delicious. The location is few blocks from the beach and few steps from many restaurants. You are walking distance from the Grenville island as...

We loved our stay at this B&B. The Kitsilano neighborhood has great shopping/dining on 4th avenue near the hotel along with some pretty residential areas and a fantastic beach where lots of people were swimming during the heat wave in July. The B&B is also just a short bus ride from the anthropology museum on the UBC campus. We didn't...

It was a recommendation from one of my friends who had stayed at the place before. We were searching for a place to stay in Vancouver and we went with my friend’s suggestion and just as told, the place was everything we were looking for. A comfortable and affordable stay and conveniently located near the beach. The rooms and the...

I went here in the summer of 2014, (delayed review, sorry), and stayed for 4 nights. I highly recommend waking up in the morning to try their breakfast, it's absolutely mouth-watering. I had french toast with fresh berries, yogurt and granola. BEDROOM: - very nice, comfortable, and clean - a bit small (only room for the bed and a small...

Just a one night stay in the Zen Suite. This is an objective review on the current physical condition of the accommodation we had. When I looked for reviews prior to our stay, I couldn't find anything more recent than September 2009 for the Zen Suite. It's aged a bit. We think this place would be really special again with...

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
