We could not have been happier with our stay at the House on Dunbar. My husband and I found the transit just terrific, thanks to Joanne's excellent helpful tips. What a hostess! Her breakfasts were fabulous and the HOD is extremely well organized. Thank you for making our trip perfect!

We just returned from a 3-night stay at the B&B. First of all, let me say the place is not only well-designed, but extremely clean. Joanne is a wonderful host with amazing talent in cooking. We enjoyed the healthy and delicious breakfast each morning: egg Benedict, omelet, and quiche, accompanied with fresh fruit and fresh smoothie. The location cannot be...

Joanne was a great host. She was very nice to speak to and get to know. She made us breakfast in the morning and was extremely accommodating. Our flight got in late at night and she worked with me to arrange a late check-in. Her house was also clean and extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 6 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The location is great, close to bus stops and in a particularly pleasant part of Kitsilano. The home is nicely decorated, has a beautiful kitchen and great places, inside and outside, to relax and read. We had a very comfortable bed and found our room a nice...

Joanne could not have done more to welcome us into her home, and the city of Vancouver, on our arrival in Canada. Her home is located in a quiet suburb, and made for an interesting bus ride into the centre of the city. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Joanne has prepared lots of information about places to visit,...

Joanne Renwick is such an out standing hostess, her meals were great as were the accommodations. We stayed two nights at the end of July. July 26th was the first night of the Honda Celebration of Lights (fireworks) that lasted a full 30 minutes. Getting us back to her B & B after 11 pm. No problem as she provided...

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
