We stayed at Abigail's Hotel over Christmas 2013. This was our first visit there and we plan to stay again next time we visit Victoria. Our room was delightful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Although we only used the fireplace once we loved having it. The bathroom was extremely nice with a huge tub. All the furnishings in the room...

Just a short note on Abigail's hotel in Victoria. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and appetizers. We stayed four nights between Christmas and New Years and it was a delight. The room was perfect and we were greated with great friendliness and warmth by all the staff. Breakfast each morning was full of a wide range of fresh and...

We spent three nights and the only thing I would have changed is we stayed longer! From requesting a ground floor room to special requests at breakfast, the hotel staff were always very accommodating and prompt fulfilling our requests. The library/study always had tea and coffee available as well as a large array of magazines, books and local news and...

It's extraordinary for a bed and breakfast. More appropriate to an unusually friendly but professional first class hotel. Even the tea offerings were first class. The library bar offers mixed drinks, beer and wine, the rooms are impeccable (decorated with a bit of the gilt and baubles appropriate to a Victorian town - but not too much), beds and linens...

Returned for our annual three-night stay. We were warmly greeted, our rooms were perfect and meticulously clean, breakfast and appies were awesome. We had planned to visit the Butchart Gardens that evening however one of the wheels on my mother's walker broke. The staff took the initiative to phone around to find a nearby walker rental place, printed a map...

We spent 3 nights here and had a lovely visit. Thank you trip advisor! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and introduced to this wonderful hotel. Fireplaces were lighted and glowing. Our room was just as pictured - finding the fur blanket on the bed was a delight. Even 2 suitcase stands. We had some of the appetizers in...

A wonderful and delightful stay. We stayed 3 nights and the service was outstanding! The complimentary breakfast each morning was different and delicious. The appetizers served in the evening were remarkable. Everything is clean and tidy. As it was winter and close to the holidays, the hotel was festively decorated and cozy. A great stay and wonderful people!

We've stayed here a couple of times and keep coming back. Best place by far to stay in Victoria. From the wine before supper to the morning breakfast, it was just superb. We stayed in one of suite rooms and it was just fantastic. Anyone travelling to Victoria, you must try and stay here.

Although we are both locals, my wife and I recently stayed here to celebrate a very memorable occasion - the anniversary of our engagement. We also stayed here 22 years ago our wedding night in the Foxglove room. So we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. I was too late to book the Foxglove room again so...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abigail's Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail's is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria's Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail's. ... more   less
