My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Helm's Inn week before last. We occupied room 304 on the second floor of the Mount Royale building overlooking Superior Street. Our room had a kitchen with full sized refrigerator, sink, and microwave. We ate out every meal so we only used the refrigerator to keep water cool. A dining table...

Enjoyed this hotel right next door to the museum and park and very easy waking distance to other attractions. Laundry really useful too and parking very convenient. We arrived very late, midnight but wasn't a problem, very helpful staff. Loved Victoria especially the museum and wharf area.

The hotel, was clean, comfortable and the décor is modern the kitchenette if required had everything you needed. We were lazy and ate out. The staff were friendly and able to answer questions about the area. The location is perfect walking distance to all the key spots. This hotel room was spacious and immaculate. It had a small, fully equipped kitchen area, a dining table, comfortable armchairs and good bathroom. The location is perfect - just next to Beacon Hill Park, and the museum. It's only a tiny walk to Inner Harbour and all the restaurants. Great staff. Highly recommended

My wife and I stayed here for one night in June on our way up island. Despite our late arrival we were warmly greeted and given directions on where to find breakfast in the morning. The hotel is self-catering and has no eating facilities. It is close however to several places, including a Cora's. Our room was fairly small, but...

Stayed here as family of 4 and had room.105 which is ground floor below road level. Spacious room with separate living room, with sofa and single arm chair. Small kitchenette with microwave. Decent sized bedroom with 2 king beds. Small bath but adequate for our needs. Staff very helpful and willing to help. Good rapport with the guests which made...

Over the past years, we have stayed a couple of times at the Helms Inn and enjoyed spacious rooms at a somewhat reasonable price. We decided to return there for an anniversary trip this Aug. This time, we were extremely disappointed in our room and in the service at the reception desk and ended up having to go to another...

This place is convenient to everything you want to do. We easily walked to restaurants, whale watching and the seaplane to Vancouver. This is an older hotel but our room was reasonably cared for. The kitchenette was helpful. Beds were quite comfortable. There is no restaurant or elevator so be prepared in advance or find another place to stay. Recommended.

Helms Inn is an amazing place to stay while in Victoria. It is right behind the Royal British Columbia Museum and an easy walk to most of the main sites--Parliament, Empress Hotel, harbor, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful, our room was quite large and included an ample kitchenette, which was very handy (and $ saving) for simple...

We were here for the second time and we stayed in the Montroyal building, in room #105 on the ground floor. It is a spacious one bedroom suite, and nicely renovated. The bathroom toilet though, was filthy even though it said sanitized on the toilet, We noticed also that the bathtub obviously had a leak, and there was a small...
