Stay here instead of a hotel. The experience is more human instead of a corporate niceity. Your breakfast is made because you ordered it (try the eggs benedict) and is served to you with fresh baked muffins and coffee. And if being waited on isn't appealing or compatible with your lifestyle/schedule there is a downstairs kitchenette where you can use...

My husband and I stayed here for a night only. It was a great experience to have the classic feel in this B&B. The breakfast was lovely and the plating was very appealing. Everything was great. (See pictures)

It is about 2 blocks to the Legislature building and walking distance or short taxi ride to most of the tourist stops. The food was good. The room was not super clean, but not dirty either. I did see some cob webs. Free internet. Location is the number one thing Marketa's has going for it.

I loved my stay at Marketa's! The vintage house with the beautiful antiques and warm ambience made it feel like a warm and fuzzy home. It's clean and breakfast was fabulous! I would recommend this place to anyone. Lorna

We were warmly greeted by Darlene who showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. Very good breakfasts with several choices. Close to the harbour so we could walk to most places. Excellent dining in the area. The house was comfortable but as with many old houses sound travels through walls and floors. There is a pleasant...

Marketas Bed and Breakfast fulfilled our expectations. It has everything you need. Our two bedroom was beautiful like the house in general. The location is near the coast which makes it so awesome to go and enjoy the nice sunset. Not only Marketa but also her staff very friendly and cared in every situation.

My daughter Chloe and I spent a delightful two days at Marketa's bed and breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and plentiful breakfast each morning as well as the warm and cozy rooms. The decor was pleasing and tasteful and inviting. Everything was well ordered and neat and tidy as well as clean. HIGHLY recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay at Marketa's. She is a welcoming hostess. The rooms are lovely. The place is nice and central so it is a quick walk to the beach, Beacon Hill Park, the museum or anywhere downtown. There are great restaurants nearby.

This B&B was ideally located, 5 minutes walk from the harbour in Victoria. Marketa and her staff made us feel extremely welcome throughout. The standard of the rooms was excellent and the breakfast made for a great start to the day.

Beautiful character home, very quiet and peaceful. The decor is fascinating with the antiques and interacting with the other guests was quite pleasant. Lovely garden, and very clean. Recommend it for a place to stay while visiting Victoria.

Marketa's Bed and Breakfast offers a unique taste of traditional hospitality mixed with European flair. As soon as you walk into this heritage home built in 1912, the panelled walls echo a different era. An era of Edwardian comfort and hospitality, a place to rest and recuperate after a day investigating the many treasures of Victoria BC, the garden city of Canada. ... more   less
