This is the first b & b I have ever stayed in which I could not fault in ANY way. The rooms were scrupulously clean, the beds comfy and the breakfast was to die for. Paulanne was an excellent host. On our second day, we had to leave really early before breakfast was served. We were given a hamper full...

My son, another couple and their son stayed 2 nights at Ashcroft House as part of a visit to the University of Victoria. We could not have chosen a more perfect place! The mansion is lovely and beautifully kept, and located in a very nice residential part of Victoria - right by the ocean and a large park, and a...

This was our second stay at Ashcroft House, previously stayed in 2010. It was just as we remembered, we stayed in the Cotswold room which had an en-suite and a lovely comfy bed. The breakfasts are still an experience with so much to eat that you will not need much more until the evening. Ashcroft House is a short walk...

The B&B is located in a beautiful neighborhood - close enough to Victoria's key sights & located close to a lovely park. The house itself was well-appointed, with the room to be of a good size and bed particularly comfortable. The brunch is so good, that to itself is worth the stay. And most importantly, we foudn the B&B owner...

My husband and I just returned from 4 days and 3 nights at this stunning home. Paulanne and David are amazing, warm and generous people that made our delayed honeymoon trip (5 years later) absolutely unforgettable. Ashcroft House is beautifully kept, and the location to downtown and the beach unsurpassed. The breakfasts were beyond words, and were the best meals...

My wife and i spent 2 nights here in the sun drenched Wedgewood room and it was great. Paulanne and David are a lovely couple who own and run Ashcroft. The breakfast is comprehensive and tasty, and Paulanne seemed happy to accommodate any food allergies/issues etc. The home itself is a heritage building that is large and looked after. It's...

Ashcroft House is a beautiful heritage building in a very quiet area - yet only a stroll away from the Beacon Hill Park, the James Bay, with its fine views, and within easy reach of Downtown Victoria. Paulan and David are delightful, thoughtful, generous hosts. Their home-cooked breakfasts are truly superb - and their home is everything that you could...

The location is hard to beat! A block from Mile-0, the park, and ocean view and located in a quiet residential area. From there you can walk to almost everywhere. The breakfasts were unbelievable. Paulanne will even give you a doggie bag to bring the leftovers with you so you get breakfast and snacks for later on! The room was...

We really enjoyed our stay here and thought the accomodation great. We were in the Sheldon room which is a good size and has a huge comfy bed. We slept very well indeed, it is quiet at night. The linens are of good quality and the whole room was furnished beautifully. Every amenity a guest could need is provided, including...

I would recommend the Ashcroft B&B. The Canterbury Room was very comfortable, and hosts Paulanne and David most friendly and gracious hosts. The breakfasts were unbelievable and the gluten-free waffles were a highlight for me. The location close to the water and a few blocks to downtown was very convenient. Would definetely come back.

“We prefer a king bed, so we chose the Orchid Suite, complete with a small kitchen and a huge bathroom with a 2-person tub and separate shower. The Orchid Suite is on the main floor, so there are no stairs to climb if that is a consideration for you.”
