We really liked this hotel a lot, it's just a shame it's in Whistler which we found to be soulless and quite artificial. Anyway, the hotel itself was really nice inside - welcoming, clean and with a spacious reception area that smelled of fresh lemons....More
Great little hotel. The location is awesome as it is near the supermarket, Starbucks and other cafes. The walk to the chair lift is very manageable. The rooms were clean and nicely laid out. My wife enjoyed the stuffed animals in the room. The parking...More
We stayed here for two nights during a two and a half week tour of British Columbia. The hotel has an excellent position in the centre of Whistler, close to and amongst all the amenities. Our room was clean, comfortable, and tidy, and hotel service...More
Our experience at the Summit Lodge was not great. Check-in was impersonal and cool-ish. Later the same Aussie girl on the front desk provided zero assistance when asked about whether we could get a drink nearby or in the hotel. Her colleague was more helpful,...More

Hi Sandy A,
Although all rooms are thoroughly deep cleaned after they have pets in, if your sister has an adverse reaction to dogs and is highly sensitive, Summit Lodge may not be the best property for your family. If she is not highly sensitive, she might be okay. Although Summit aims to allocate all dogs onto the second floor, sometimes guests forget to mention that they're checking in with a dog. As well, there are dogs in the back office and they can be found in some of the pubilc spaces.
I recommend looking at Blackcomb Lodge and maybe the Hilton as I believe they do not allow pets.
I hope that helps! :)
