This is a nice hotel - excellent, really. The down side is that it tends to rent out to families on weekends, the children of whom are unmonitored and run around the halls and stairways yelling and screaming. It's exciting to be in a hotel as a kid but there seems to be no supervision by parents or hotel staff.

What a delightful find on the St John's River in New Brunswick ... This area is rich in history and this hotel sits on a gorgeous river with a fascinating history and miles long walking path. This is a plus in addition to this gracious hotel, its excellent service and food ease of central location.

Delta Fredericton has been persistently good. The hotel is well run, efficient staff and a great location on the river. Nice walk to the uptown, bicycle path right there and a very good restaurant. The hotel constantly offers new deals and interacts very well with the rest of the business community. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the whole hotel is well run. Superb place to stay.

We stayed in a 7th floor river view king room at the Delta Hotel Fredericton for 2-nights in late-Sep ($173). The Delta is a large hotel with a convention & resort orientation that fronts a section of the St. John River just W of town. We visited as travellers in the cool fall, so I based my review from that perspective rather than as a conventioneer or resort tourist. Our room was fairly standard for this type of hotel, with a wide desk & chair, a couple of upholstered chairs and a side table (we dragged over to the window for the beautiful river view – it was almost like we were in the river), a drawer & closet for storage, mini-fridge and large low-definition TV. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were overstuffed with some sort of synthetic and did not facilitate a sound sleep. The other issue with the room was the temperature control – regardless of the setting, it took a very long time to add any heat to the room. The bathroom was reasonable, with a wide vanity, great for toiletries and a large walk-in shower. The location was good, right on the river-front pathway for a 30-min walk to the historic centre (unfortunately, requiring a walk right by a homeless camp by Government House). We didn't take advantage of the resort features – the outdoor pool was closed, and the indoor pool's chlorine smell did not appeal. There was a BBQ restaurant, but it was very popular and requires reservations. The hotel had a large parking lot out front but, apparently recently, they have begun charging $12 per night; we drove over to the next parallel street (a 3-4 min walk) to park for free. Overall, a comfortable stay in a nice suburban location; however, the negatives (low resolution TV, parking issue, heating deficiency, pillows) made the experience average.

Stayed with the family here for 5 nights and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel lobby, entrance, bar and restaurant are the most beautiful I've ever seen at this level/price range of hotel. The location is great, just outside the downtown core (a few minutes drive), on the Saint John river. The patio and pool out back are really, really nice and we got some gorgeous views of the sunsets over the river. The room itself was fine, a basic hotel room but nothing to complain about. I was a little disappointed to see the hallways and room after walking through the beautiful lobby, as they are definitely not as nice (scuffed walls, dirty carpets, bad lighting in the hallways).
