Although The Carriage House Inn is the largest B&B in Fredericton, the Innkeepers Jamie and Natalie Jardine know how important it is to feel like an invited guest and less of a reservation number! They live on-site and pride themselves on attentive service and making sure each guest feels comfortable and enjoys themselves! We offer local Maritime charm and a hearty home-cooked breakfast each morning (located in our elegant ballroom) to fuel whatever the day will bring! Jamie is the General Manager, he was born in St. Stephen and moved to Fredericton in 1988. Natalie was born and raised in Fredericton. The house itself is owned by Stacy Parker, who has family roots in the Maritimes and lives in Barrie, Ontario.

From the moment Angie opened the front door to four weary travellers (we had driven from Charlottetown, PEI, having taken the 5-hr ferry from Les Iles de la Madeleine that morning) we felt very much at home. We delighted in the banter with Angie and the other guests. Our rooms were perfect - comfortable and clean, and the breakfast the next morning was really good - something for all appetites and food preferences. Angie was charming and funny and told us about the grand old house, and the surrounding area and the city of Fredericton which is within walking distance. We would highly recommend staying at this heritage establishment, and we will definitely return. We have lived in Toronto for many years, originally from Glasgow, Scotland. We were hosting friends from North Yorkshire, England. This stop at the Carriage House was one of the hightlights in a long driving trip from Montreal to Les Iles de la Madeleine and back. Very reasonable price - excellent value.

My wife and l stayed at this B&B for one night. Our host Angie from the minute we arrived brought hospitality to a different level. Angie made us tea and put on the fire in the large front room when we arrived in after been out for dinner and a walk. The rooms and house are both clean and elegant. We had a great night's sleep in room number 4 and the breakfast was superb and we were well set to continue out road trip through eastern Canada. Definitely worth a visit. Paddy and Susan ( Ireland).

An elegant old BandB in Fredericton, a short walk from downtown. Beautiful lobby and staircase. Friendly service, nice clean room. We would definitely stay here again when in Fredericton. Recommend hotel.

This beautiful historic building does, as many others have mentioned, needs some maintenance. But, the small issues are vastly overwhelmed by the comfortable rooms and exceptionally friendly service. Angie, the manager, is relaxed and casual and makes you feel very at home. The breakfast offered three options daily all of which were enough food to make a good start to the day. My traveling companions tend to get up quite early, so Angie made sure the coffee was set up and ready to turn on in the morning so that they could have coffee at 5 AM. The huge front porch offers lovely and relaxed seating to enjoy the ambience of the beautiful neighborhood, a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine. I spent some lovely times just sitting there talking with my friends. Great location - very easy walking distance to the Saturday Market, downtown shops and restaurants and the riverfront. A very positive experience!

We had one night here on our way home from the east coast, and it was very enjoyable. The large mansion is charming, and better maintained on the inside than the exterior, thanks to the determined efforts of Angie. She was always cheerful, although struggling with the shortage of staff (Covid side-effect). She served us a great breakfast, and cheerfully checked us in a little early. The downtown is an easy walk. We also enjoyed the front verandah evening visit with other guests, protected from the rain.

The good: comfortable beds, good breakfast. The less goods: as others have noted, the inn needs some serious attention. I’m not convinced by the wiring, water pressure is variable, and the overall impression is “tired”.

While others may comment on the need for renovations, we found the Carriage House Inn incredibly charming and loved the vibe of stepping back in time. You can feel the history in each room!! Our bed was very comfortable, and our room had all the amenities we needed. It was the Inn Keeper herself that made our stay so memorable! Angie was exceptionally friendly and engaging and couldn't have been any more accommodating!! The Inn's location was perfect for our cycling weekend with the bike trails right outside our door! We will definitely be back!
