While this hotel looked feasible as a low cost stay, it was a mistake. The rooms and furnishings were run down as was the bathroom. Our lights did not work at all and there were no bedside lamps. The light situation was figured out when I noted that the main light switch turned off the fan and the light bulbs were simply unscrewed to allow the fan to run at night. ‘Why not open windows’, you may wonder. There was a trade off with this endeavour as there were no screens on any window so air was available if we were willing to put up with bugs. The final nail was the loud party in the room next to ours. If just confined to their room, the party would have been a nuisance. However, multiple people right outside our window, drinking and swearing from 2 am to 4 am was too much. If you are DESPERATE for a mattress to sleep on, and no more, this might be the place for you. If you want a functional room with standard amenities, look elsewhere.

I am giving this Motel five stars for Service!! I have stayed at many motels / hotels in my travels and as far as a Motel on a Budget is concerned, this little place worked just Great! My room with Kitchenette, was lovely and clean and comfortable. Nick was AMAZING! He looked right after me and made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay (9 nights) here very comfortable. I have family business here every month, and this is my new place to stay!! The Hillcrest Motel is Affordable, Comfortable, Quiet, and has the BEST Service I could ask for! Thank you Hillcrest and thank you Nick!!

The room was only 60 bucks. Good enough for a 7 hour sleep and then hit the road in the morning. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't new. Very old and faded, looks like from the 80's. But it was cheap and comfy.

I only stayed because I had prepaid for the room. The television didn’t work, there was no air conditioner, the view out the window was of the sewage treatment plant and the bed was old and lumpy. I slept fully clothed on top of the bedspread because I was scared of bedbugs.

They’re Service is very bad they can’t communicate. They charge your Credit card without notify you and having any proof pictures. So be they are off when you give your credit card number to them make sure you take it and cancel it they will charge you automatically . I have asked for pictures. it’s been over a month they haven’t sent anything to me and I contact him and he keep hanging up on me . So very careful

Its an okay place to stop, I mean Its got decent and simple rooms, but hey its got a very cheap price for people. It does not offer Breakfast but you are a 5 min drive from places to eat. Its a decent place if you are on a budget and are passing through Saint John and you need a quiet place to crash for the night. The main issue is, unless you are paying attention you can easily miss it, the Motel blends in well with the houses along the street. But the owner is Really nice and helpful. Overall the place is pretty simple, It feels like you are renting a dorm for a night, Its simple Clean and pretty cheap.

Although I warmed up a little in my feelings towards this place by morning, this was a pretty sorry sight when we drove into the motel parking area. I am not sure how I found myself there. It is the type of place Jack Reacher would stay in for all you Lee Child novel readers.

We checked in on a return trip from the USA looking for a last minute place to lay down and sleep. Didn’t need any amenities other than a clean room. -Shower didn’t drain properly and ended up in 3” of water before finishing. -Refrigerator door did not close properly and was turned off. -Bloodstain on the sheets in one of the beds. - Enclosed hallway at back of property has numerous mouse poison centres. Obviously a rodent issue on a he premises. -Very offensive odour in the motel room. Not a healthy environment. -Room hasn’t been remodelled in many years Any review stating the motel is old but quaint is either outdated, totally incorrect or perhaps some rooms may be better than others, however the overall maintenance makes that unlikely. My advise would be to sleep in your car instead of staying here.
