Bumped up to a King due to not able to get in the room booked. On the way to the room at 8:30 PM there was bags of garbage and dirty linens lining the hallway, it seemed at every second door. Entered the room, didn't look too bad, went in bathroom, the shower was not the cleanest ( a bleach spray wouldn't go astray ) spray all over the walls from who knows what ( maybe toothpaste - maybe not ). The coffee maker wasn't even cleaned from previous guest. The bed linen was clean so we stayed as not too many options to pick from on a weekend. Your photos on your website are false advertising as the rooms look unlike them. For a newish hotel it's shameful. On the bright side the reception staff were great! Never again.

Hotel's Favourite
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed 4 nights in a King Suite and were really pleased with the room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cutlery and pans for cooking. We also had a small balcony which was nice since the weather was gorgeous. The room was very clean and the hotel was extremely quiet (added bonus!). Again, we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is in a nice location, close to shopping and restaurants. The pool was small but the water was warm and there was always plenty of towels in the pool area. No complaints.

Had a long term stay and the housekeeping was unreliable and generally not good. Floors are not regularly cleaned or vacuumed. Sheets rarely changed. Had manager view issues in the room and nothing changed. Will not stay there again.

Thank you to Signature Sandman. Our first trip to Newfoundland touring St.John’s - the hotel was clean and very comfortable. Restaurants were close enough that made breakfast and dinner choices easy. BIG THANK YOU for the late checkout - plane was delayed and your courtesy and understanding with the late checkout made our day less stressful. Will happily tell others about our stay and will recommend your hotel to those travelling your way.

Have never reviewed a hotel until now. Room was filthy- dried jam/spilled coffee and milk on coffee table, toothpaste on bathroom wall and mirror, crumbs on sofa, handprints on mirrors, feces on toilet rim, shower didn’t drain properly. Spoke to staff and was told we could leave if we were dissatisfied. Given a plunger so we could work out toilet issues ourselves. Pool/gym was only available 1 hour per day - sign up was first come, first serve - not informed of this at time of booking. Hot tub broken indefinitely, as per staff. Only one elevator in service with limit of 3 people per load which made for significant wait times. No security in house to monitor noise, parties, racing in corridors all night long despite calls to front desk (largely unmanned). There are quite a few hotels in the area - do not be fooled by the positive reviews of this hotel.

Booked a one-night staycation for our twins birthday. Pros: convenient location, restaurants on site, hotel is new, clean and modern. Cons: rooms are a bit dark thanks to the decor and lack of natural lighting in the living area of the suites. Walls are paper thin! Could hear every word of the conversation happening in the next room after 11pm when we were trying to sleep. Other: we booked this hoping to take advantage of the pool. I called in advance to inquire about current policies and procedures “due to covid”, and was advised pool time can be reserved but not until we checked in. I explained it was for kids birthday, and the only reason we were staying was for the pool. I was told at that time that it was wide open - not a single a lot booked for our stay and led to believe it would not be an issue. We arrived an hour before the allotted check in time and there was actually no available pool time at all. Front desk staff was pretty apathetic and just seemed to hate his job in general. Also, guests are expected to wear mask in common area but staff was not masked. Overall we would NOT choose this property again.

The rooms are great, beds comfy, front desk staff Superb,,,BUT House Keeping leaves a lot to be desired! Stayed for 4 weeks, only wanted house keeping once or twice a week as I was alone. Had to complain twice to have bed changed and floors vacuumed! Hard floors never mopped or swept.

I love this hotel, location is fantastic. Two attached restaurants also nice. I recently stayed in the king signature suite which I loved. I could live there permanently. The only con I have with this hotel is the smell of weed in the lobby. Every time I left or arrived the smell was always there. It won’t deter me from staying but wish something could be done. I have a upcoming stay and that’s the only part I’m not looking forward to.

Responded 29 Oct 2021
Thank you for your feedback Kimberly, but we do apologize for any inconveniences during your stay. In regards to the smell, guests with medical exemptions do smoke outside in the designated smoking areas and the smells do linger when they walk through the lobby. We are trying to find the best product to ensure that all future stays are perfect and scents of all kind are limited. We hope to see you in the near future as it was a pleasure having you!
