I've stayed at this hotel many times, it is always my "go to" hotel when in St. John's, I feel totally at home here. The staff there, just awesome! From front desk accommodating all my requests, we travels with a family member with MS, they went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect room, the accessible shower was a God sent. The breakfast staff, the housekeeping always friendly and ready to accommodate at a moments notice. The place is spotless, Covid measures are still in place, however, they ensure that the experience is enjoyed to the fullest! You book the pool and gym for use, limiting the number of people, great idea. Krista the GM has executed a great plan for success and has collaborated a great team. Thank you for another memorable stay, we appreciate it so much. Say hello to all our Hampton Family.

We stayed for four nights. We have been to many hotels and this was by far the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Our room and my parents room was very clean and comfortable. My parents had a joining room with us, a king suite. We had a double queen room. We had a mini fridge and microwave. My parents suite was absolutely amazing, it had tons of room for our children to play in. Lots of room for all of us to comfortably hang out.
Breakfast was lovely every morning. It was served from 7-10am. There was always something different made each day. Along with fruit cups, smoothies, granola bars and cereal. Always lots to satisfy everyone.
During our stay I used the washer and dryer, which worked really well. It was $2 per wash and $2 per hour dry.
We also used the pool during our stay. They allowed one hour per family. We had to book it in advance. It was cleaned before and after each use due to COVID which was appreciated.
The staff was amazing. Everyone was always there if you needed anything or had and questions. Katie, Taylor and John were amazing during our stay. So friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thank you again to them.

We stayed for 5 days in July. The hotel is new & within walking distance to downtown. The issue is that they are still blaming the pandemic for lack of housekeeping. Three couples & not one of us had their room cleaned for 5 days - not even garbages emptied! We were told they were shortstaffed. When I called to get clean sheets & towels, I had to call back 3 times. Front desk is not very friendly & they make you feel like they are bothering them. When my friend asked upon check out about not receiving housecleaning even though she requested it daily, the response was “take it up with customer service.” Wouldn’t recommend staying there if you want any type of service.

What a horrible experience!!!!!!! Went to this hotel on July 27th 2021 and left the same day!! My sister and I took the kids 45 mins from home to go to this hotel to go swimming.. On arrival their debit machine was down not an overly big deal mildly inconvenient but the lady at the front desk told us great news the hotel was slow that day so instead of a swim time between 6-7 we could have a swim time between 6-8 kids were so excited. When we get to the room we though wow big and spacious however it wasn’t completely clean and even the ice bucket had been left from previous guests so much for their extra cleaning protocols for the pandemic. I told the lady at the desk what the issue was and they were very matter of fact and very unapologetic the definitely lacking with their customer service. Now 6 has arrived and the kids are excited my son and I are the first to arrive to the pool when we get there we see a sign on the door saying closed for maintenance. So again we head to the lobby where the is a new lady working at the desk I explain to her that upon check in we were given a swim time of 6-8 she say there is no way because the pool

This was my second time staying this location and both times the pool was very very cold. It wasn’t suitable to swim in. The room wasn’t cleaned properly. Very dirty behind all furniture as well as on top of tables and counter spaces. However, customer service was great. Breakfast was also good, more than one option would of been better as not everyone likes the same things.

Was my favourite hotel before the pandemic and I can say it still is. The customer service is top notch with staff being helpful and going that extra mile for any little thing.
Decor is modern and hotel is very clean.
Gym is well equipped and spacious and rooms are well maintained, well decorated and have plenty of space.
Ample parking and a hotel shuttle and and from airport if needed.
While hotel is not downtown, the location is perfect and quiet for anyone not needing to be in the downtown core.

Compared to other motels that offered the same conveniences the Hampton was just a little bit more expensive but we booked based on having a pool and the Hilton name. Unfortunately it was not the trip we planned. The pool is closed for repairs. It has been for quite some time but there was no notice on their website or on any of the booking sites that there was no pool. Breakfast is only from 7 AM until 9 AM. Do not come here if you plan to sleep in. You will miss breakfast. They serve coffee only. There’s no tea in the room or for breakfast. This is Newfoundland. Everyone drinks tea. Except at the Hampton. I personally would not come back.

Found socks in dirty sheets left in sheets on the pull out couch bed from previous guest! Yuck ! We pulled out the couch to make the bed for my son and found dirty sheets containing dirty socks, along with hair, dirt and debris. Also, inside the pullout couch there was a food wrapper, nail clippings and debris. Please see photos attached to this review.
The blanket and pillow in a bag in the closet for making the bed were also used from a previous guest and just balled up into a bunch and put back in the bag in the closet - not how clean linens are usually presented.
I called the front desk and they offered to move us to another room but we had just spent over an hour unpacking , it was late after a very long day and I wasn’t feeling well. I asked if housekeeping could please just come remove and change the dirty linens. Apparently there are no housekeeping or cleaning staff on shift after 530pm so they indicated the shuttle driver might come to take care of it. I waited over half an hour and no one came. I went to the front desk to inquire again and was informed when shuttle runs were completed he would come by.
And, he did - and he was friendly and apologetic and I thanked him for taking care of something totally outside of his role.
But I am still so disappointed and to be honest, disgusted, that it even happened! It left me wondering what other cleaning shortcuts were taken in preparing our room , and throughout the hotel ?!
Also, our bedside lamps are nasty - please see photos. Under one lamp, there are dirty splatters /stains ? The other bedside lamp has pen ink graffiti!
We stayed here a few years ago without a hitch but something has changed - it’s going downhill and no attention to detail.
We paid $1100 for 3 nights. Clean linens and bedside lamps should be included in that kind of price ! Cleanliness is one of the most important factors for me with a hotel stay and this experience was incredibly disgusting and disappointing.

Pick up at the airport was fast and easy, by a professional and friendly person. Checking in was without issue by a welcoming staff member. Our room request was honored. The room was comfortable, clean, with lots of space and quiet. Breakfast consisted of good coffee, quality yogurt, fruit, hot and cold items. The breakfast area and food selection had plenty of space to social distance and functional, comfortable space. Tables were cleaned quickly by a man who was proud to do his job. We had to go back to the airport to pick up a rental and as the shuttle was 't running the hotel paid for the taxi. The parking area is well lite with plenty of good parking. All staff are professional and welcoming. Boston Pizza is right next door.
