We had a wonderful stay at Blue on Water and would recommend to everyone. The bar downstairs has great food and cocktails, the rooms are modern with exposed brick to add a touch of charm and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Will be back!

I stayed in Blue on Water with my boyfriend July 22-July 25. We were so impressed by the room - great size, nice finishes, Keurig coffeemaker, mini fridge, beautiful updated bathroom. I can't say enough good things! Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and content. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant,...

We prefer the charm of a "boutique" hotel and we were so happy with our decision to stay here for a weekend in July. St.John's has a very friendly food and plenty of attractions within a walking distance(i.e. great bars and food). Everything in St.Johns is close. Our room looked right onto Water St. comfortable, clean, spacious. The decor is...

Wonderful spacious updated room with huge bathroom and sitting area. Only minor down was TV did not work well. Not a big deal for us. Very little noise on third floor. Brick walls, electric blinds, modern bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed here numerous times over the years, have had superb service every stay and customer service is what you get. This spot gets overlooked as it's not on most hotel search sites. Rates are reasonable for the area just need to book on their website. Rooms are stunning, they've done an excellent job bringing these rooms up to date....

Good options, fresh food, friendly service. We went for dinner and were not staying at the hotel part. We can't speak for the hotel or answer questions about it. But dinner was great and we ate there twice during our four days in St Johns.

We were four women traveling by bicycle in Newfoundland for three weeks so our "needs" were a bit different than the average customer. We stayed at Blue when we first arrived and at the end of our cycle tour totaling 7 days there overall. They could not have been more accommodating! Jason, the owner, greeted us when we arrived with...

The Blue on Water hotel is a boutique, above a restaurant/bar. It is right on Water Street right in the heart of the action - just one block from George St. Rooms are large (couch and sitting area) and we had a huge bathroom with a full soaker tub and a walk in shower. If your window fronts on Water...

We stayed in both the Gryphon Loft and the hotel. The style is lovely and fun. I found the service to be excellent with great communication from the managers about our upcoming stay and checking on us while we were off site at the loft. Both locations are wonderful and my family loved our stays here.

The room was gorgeous, but you had to enter through a bar. The view out the window was of the ventilator for the kitchen. They never told us that the only parking cost $25 per night. Restaurant was overpriced. Ate 1st night in bar. Poutin was so salty it was inedible. Had reservations for 4 nights, checked out after only...
