We stayed for 3 nights at this property. From the initial booking, to a phone call to change dates, to the easy & convenient shuttle from the airport at midnight, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room on the 8th floor with a terrific view, was quiet, spacious and cleaned well every day. The very minimal shampoo was...

Best place to stay in Yellowknife. I had the chance to try all of the hotel there and this is by far my favorite one. Always clean, great service, the food at the restaurant is very good as well. It's well located, you can walk up the town or down where the old town is situated. Some rooms gives great...

Nice rooms, and friendly staff. but the kitchens close at 9pm so if your flight is delayed don't expect to get any food. There is a couple of vending machines with snacks but if you don't have enough change.... however there is an ATM along side and some of the machines take notes. Traders bar is a tad expensive but...

Excellent service on the front desk - sorted me out quickly despite my having muddled my booking. Good sized room with view of the lakes - room at rear of hotel facing Great Slave Lake gave me a view of the N Lights too. Excellent breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Best hotel in Yellowknife, comfortable rooms and beds, clean, people are very friendly. Restaurants are excellent with great service. Very close to everything: museum, downtown and visitor center. We even walked 20 min to Oldtown. Has nice view of the lake next to the museum. You could even watch the aurora fro your room. Great hotel!

We stayed there for three nights . Hotel is clean and good size with microwave, fridge and water kettle. If you are lucky, you can see aurora from your room. Location is good, 5 mins walk to central downtown with grocery story near by. The only thing is the sound proof of the room. You can easily hear noises. Overall...

I found the front desk staff friendly and helpful. The room was a standard hotel room with the basic amenities. The bed was quite comfortable. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again the next time I visit Yellowknife.

My daughter and I just spent four nights at this hotel. The Explorer was a great hotel for us. The staff was friendly, the food in the restaurants is absolutely delicious ( be sure and get the Northern Salad), the room was large, the beds very comfy....overall we were very satisfied!! Very good location, short walk to downtown area and the visitors centre. Clean rooms friendly staff. This hotel has a bar/restaurant with good food. Fairly large hotels in the area, suggest booking early for any properties in the area regardless of season.

Hotel is pleasant, comfy bed! Great view from 8th floor. Breakfast buffet is quite pricey, unless you like a big breakfast. The lounge is cosy, good service and good selection of food. The only downside was the disrupted sleep from the noise of the fridge. Also room was quite cool due to constant HVAC, could not turn it off -...
