Enjoyed my stay at the Explorer Hotel. This was my second visit to this hotel. Loved the free shuttle to/from the airport. Beds were comfortable, and the location is great. Close to downtown and close enough to walk to old town. Had dinner in the Trapline Lounge one evening and enjoyed the food and drinks. Cozy atmosphere if you don't...

The hotel is located in a great location. Close to many restaurants in downtown Yellowknife and there is a supermarket all within walking distance. However, it is in very much need of an update. The bathroom looks old and there was some mildew along the sides of the bathtub, hence giving it a dirty feel. The bathroom floor tiles are...

Highly recommended for their service; especially Dianelle who worked at the front desk on the 11th Jan. She provided an excellent service and allowed us a little more rest when our flight was delayed. Location was good as it is walking distance to downtown. There is a cosy restaurant that provides good meals with wonderful view.

Spent a night at the explorer hotel. It is located right in downtown Yellowknife, so you can walk everywhere and freeze your face off haha. Although it was very cold outside, inside the hotel was very comfortable temperature. Great and comfortable King Beds in the room. Staff was very helpful and polite. Tried their downstairs restaurant for breakfast and it...

I booked the hotel directly because the booking engines I often used did not have any twin bedroom available. The hotel confirmed my booking with fixed room charge for the 3 nights I stayed. I checked out at 4am (to catch a flight at 5ish), the man billed me an inflating rate. He said the hotel had a policy of...

The location of the hotel is good - there were restaurants, supermarkets and tourist information all within walking distances - this is important because Yellowknife is very cold in winter. The services at the reception and restaurants were average - they were not particularly friendly. The room was average. The fridge didn't work and we had to call to get...

This was a really comfortable, clean and quiet hotel. The room had good heat and lots of hot water quick. Nice after a day out in the cold. The beds were comfortable and i slept like a baby. The rooms had a electric kettle which was nice for tea before bed.

It's unusual for a hotel in a remote area to have dining that is very good. The Explorer in Yellowknife is such a place. Excellent breakfast options. Good dinner menu. And when the dining room is booked, try the nicely appointed bar. Try the Char fish and chips or the vegetarian risotto...among the best items on the bar menu. The...

Nice place, quite and clean. Sufficient hot water (really hot😂). Also, heating A/C is amazing! Great location (close to Shoppers drug mart) 7 mins from the airport (they do have a shuttle bus) Breakfast buffet and dinner are good.

Excellent service. When I arrived after a full day of travel there was a mix up with my reservation, the staff and manager, despite being at capacity, the staff and manager were able to accommodate me during my stay. This is not my first time at this hotel, and as always it was enjoyable, great good and service in traders...
