We stayed here a few days ago. The Tulip Tree is a gorgeous Bed and Breakfast, without doubt one of the very best we have ever stayed in. Sue and Ted Ashdown are superb hosts. Sue is the decorator and she has done a marvelous job. We loved everything about this delightful place. We will return!

We stayed for a night on the Labour Day weekend after a day of whale watching off Brier Island. Our room, Marie's Retreat, had all the comforts we could want. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the shower had lots of water pressure and it was quiet. The nice sunroom/sitting room off the bedroom was an unexpected bonus. The... More

The Tulip Tree B&B is a great play to stay! I stay here often in Elizabeth's Hideaway for business. The tub is a great place to unwind after a long day of work. Ted and Sue are great hosts and make you feel at home and the breakfasts are delicious!

Just spent 2 days with Ted, Sue and Charlie to go to the Wharf Rat Rally. Ted and Sue are excellent hosts making you feel totally at home. They are very accomodating and are bike friendly. Breakfast was amazing both mornings and conversation with the guests at breakfast was very enjoyable and interesting. Sue gave us a doggy bag of... More

We had a night in Molly's place, it was gorgeous and can only really echo the other positive comments on here. Room has every comfort you could want but don't always find, including a fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and excellent shower. Even a range of body lotions ! The bed looked lovely and was very comfortable, and breakfast around... More

Sue and Ted at the Tulip Tree B&B put the "Royal" in Annapolis for us. We stayed three-nights and each breakfast offered a different start to the day. Our room, Marie's Retreat, overlooking the back garden, was spacious and ideal for watching the Olympics at the end of a busy day of exploring the area. The advice on what to... More

We stayed in Molly's Place. It was perfect for us. Lovely comfortable bed. Very roomy. Great shower. Fantastic breakfast. Not overdone in quantity - it was nice to still be able to move after eating it. Beast blueberry pancakes ever! Thank you Sue and Ted.

We stayed at the Tulip Tree for three nights as part of an extended tour of Nova Scotia and PEI. We were most impressed by the level of comfort in our room, which had its own sitting room area. The attention to detail was excellent and it really felt like home from home. The outstanding feature of our stay was... More

We stayed three nights at the Tulip Tree and truly enjoyed the experience; from the whirlpool bath in Elizabeth's hideaway to the wonderful breakfast each day with Ted and Sue, our memories will be a constant reminder of Annapolis Royal hospitality. Ted's advice on activities and attractions and Sue's recommendations for lunch and dinner were "spot on". My wife and... More

What a great B&B experience! From our first step into this gorgeous century old Colonial Revival to the last crumb :) of breakfast, not a detail was missed. It was lovely meeting Sue & Ted Ashdown, owners of the Tulip Tree B&B. We stayed in the Marie suite which included a lovely sunroom, gorgeous and super comfortable 4-poster bed and... More
