If you want to experience Downton Abbey in all it's American splendour then this is the place to visit. High ceilings, grande stair cases and large open lounge area all reflect an era gone by. The rooms are quaint and a blast from the past.

Our group stayed in a 3 bedroom/2 bath cabin. The rooms need updating. The heating/cooling is out of date. The bathrooms are really out of date (still have a built in bottle opener and razor disposal). The beds are comfortable, but high off the ground. I had to climb into bed. We ate at the restaurant on property. Dinner was...

The Digby Pines is a quaint and historical property. While now Provincially owned and operated by the NS Government, this once privately owned resort has the solitude and privacy one would come to expect from a much more expensive resort. The rooms are ornately decorated in early 20th century moldings. Bathrooms have been updated as have the beds. (originally metal...

The hotel is beautiful and has a stunning view of the water. We stayed in a cottage which was perfect for our family with two teenagers. There is a nice pool although we didn't use it. The food was fine although not spectacular. My husband and I sat outside on the back deck, but did have to go and look...

We stayed two nights at this very comfortable and welcoming hotel. The setting is delightful with water views and woodland paths. Dining was pleasant with a good variety of choices and generous portions. Digby scallops are wonderful. All the amenities one would expect of a "grande dame" are here, including a full service spa. I would heartily recommend bringing a...

We spent one night in the Resort. We did not use any of the recreation facilities; we were traveling through Digby on our way to Maine. Our initial impression of the facility was that it needed renovation. Our feeling carried through to our room. To be sure, it was comfortable and clean, just a bit outdated. It was a beautiful...

Old but lovely hotel. The rooms are quite small but very clean. Loved the large outdoor heated pool. It is quite sheltered from the Fundy breeze. Beautiful grounds with plenty of outdoor sitting space. There are large setting rooms on the ground floor where you get to meet other vistors.

I recently stayed at the Pines on a recent road trip around southwestern Nova Scotia. I found the staff courteous and helpful. Old authentic hotel, completely redone. View of Fundy Bay from water view rooms. Small rooms but totally adequate. Location is the best in Digby. The restaurant was really first class. You have to have the Digby oysters even if you do not like oysters. They are truly exceptional. Easy location to plan sightseeing and a really good golf course.
