Our short stay at the beautifully appointed Waverley Inn was spoiled by a frequent but inconsistent rhythmic drip of rainwater onto the aircon box outside our window, which kept us awake all night. The tinny sound of water on metal was clearly heard (despite closing window) all night. When we were asked at checkout time if our stay was ok,...

For a last minute reservation, Waverley Inn was a great find. Its location makes it easy access to down-town everything. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Walking up three flights was a bit unpleasant but the trick is to carry as little luggage as possible - just the absolutely necessary. I'll know next time ! Free parking was a...

To say the Waverley Inn is beautiful would be an understatement. There is nothing I would change about this place. A great location right downtown, clean, friendly service, gorgeous stately rooms. Our room was large and spacious, free wifi, and all the amenities you could ask for. I would highly recommend it for anyone coming to halifax!

The fluffy beds with their gigantic pillows and duvets are worth the cost alone. But when you add this in to the price, the beautifully maintained building and the friendly service this is a steal compared to local hotels. Comes with antique four poster beds, good sized rooms, a nice array of amenities in your room, Wifi, afternoon biscuits and...

This inn is beautiful and very central. The room we stayed in was huge and the beds and furniture were lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The complimentary tea/coffee downstairs and the lovely sitting area with computers was a very nice touch. We will definitely stay here again if we ever return...

The inn is very nicely decorated with a lovely area downstairs for sitting relaxing or using the computers. Free wifi. Room we stayed in was quite small but served the purpose of our one night stay. Window A/C. Complimentary tea/coffee downstairs in the hallway which I would prefer to have a small kettle in the room for tea. I find...

Very convenient to downtown Halifax. We used our car only for the drive to the Citadel.Rum quite clean and quiet with beautiful attention to detail...wallpaper, bedspread, etc.Would definitely stay here again. Henry's for casual dining, and Stories for gourmet dining are quite near.

We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon. We booked the Oriental room which was the most interesting room I'd ever stayed in. It was beautifully decorated and the Chinese wedding bed was a beautiful feature. The bathroom is very large and has a vanity, a window seat and jacuzzi tub. The staff were very friendly. The only...

We stayed for 2 nights in a Queen room at $175/night not including taxes. I think if you stay here, you're going for the experience of the old-world rooms etc. and not the modern conveniences of most hotels. Good Points: - Right in town, so it's walking distance to everything - FREE Parking (try find another downtown hotel with free...

My husband and I spent two nights here at the end of our PEI cycling trip. We feel that we would have been better off staying somewhere else. The staff did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was quite small, and the air-conditioning unit was loud. Breakfast was average. The breakfast room is...
