I was pleasantly surprised to find a modern, thoroughly upgraded room in this historic hotel in Halifax. Exceptionally clean. Staff were helpful in helping me get to the airport. I was there for a conference and the catered meals were also very good.

Suite was very comfortable and clean. . Staff was very nice. Restaurant was very cozy, food was very good.. Beautiful lobby and atrium. . Close to lots of rest. And shops The only minor complaint was it was a long walk from elevator to our suite.

You will definitely feel like royalty when staying at the Lord Nelson...and you are treated just like you are! SPECIAL. A truly beautiful Historic hotel on Spring Garden Road, the shopping mecca of downtown Halifax. Overlooking the famous Public Gardens and just down the street from one of the Top 10 rated Libraries in the World...the Halifax Central Library....just to...

Beautiful lobby, impeccable staff, impressive doorman BUT the floor we stayed on had baseboards coming off the wall, wallpaper torn off the walls and room numbers laying on the floor in the hallway. In the room, the tub had chips in it, light fixtures had cobwebs on them, doors were repainted poorly. A great one time stay but probably won't...

The Lord Nelson Hotel has been thoroughly modernized without compromising its period elegance. The restaurant is excellent, and there are a variety of room choices available, from "petite" rooms at very reasonable cost to large classic rooms and even larger suites. The staff is very competent and personable. One nice touch is having a doorman at the main entrance. Indoor...

The staff is all friendly and helpful and everyone did their best to make my trip worthhile. You can get a wonderful full course breakfast in the Arms Restaurant on...

Upon arrival,as soon as I gave the young lady at the front desk(Isabelle) my name, she said HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Within 5 minutes we were checked into our room,it was...

Hotel appears high end when you first arrive, beautiful lobby, doorman, concierge, helpful staff, but lacking in details. several room details that made it more cut-rate than high end. Bathroom fixture handle came off in your hand, screw hanging out of tub faucet, bathroom door had a gouge in it that was simply painted over, valance for drapes was intended...

Beautiful scenery in a prime location. We stayed for a weekend getaway for fun, and are glad to have chosen the hotel. Real nice being able to walk to nearly all the main destinations in Halifax, and the proximity to Spring Garden is an added bonus. If you're looking for a hotel in one of the best locations, this place...
