We weren't quite sure what to expect from this Inn. The outside needs work but the inside, along with the great hosts, made our visit very enjoyable. We'll go back when all the renovations are complete.

Ok, to be honest, we were very skeptical in the beginning. When we arrived we thought about checking out before even checking in. The building needs quite a bit of paint outside. It just looks a bit run down from the outside, not charming as old places sometimes do. Pictou, at the same time is, well, it had industrial Charme...

New owners. Quite friendly, for sure! The premises are clean, but a bit dated. The rooms are very small, the decor and amenities are very basic, and the bath is really tiny...you can hardly turn around in the stall shower! A small desk holds the TV, and there is no refrigerator or coffee maker (no space, actually). Our room had...

This was a last minute find for us and so glad we found it! !! Rooms are clean, new owners are so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. Owners know the area well. Cool old building with lots of character and history. Good views from most of the rooms and close to restaurants and the water. No elevator but...

Drove up for a wedding and stayed for one night. The owners were new, having just purchased it 5 days prior, and they were absolutely wonderful. Extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They went out of our way to make sure we were comfortable, and we had no issues whatsoever. The rooms were clean and cozy and I would definitely return.

The Walker Inn is in a historic building four stories high. Sam readily helps with the luggage but it is a bit of a climb to the top floor.. We were on the fourth floor, but had a great view from the outside balcony. There were 6 rooms on the top floor plain but comfortable. The Wi-Fi was iffy &...

If you like the feel of a B&B but the privacy of an Inn. This place is for you. The owner took care of our needs and gave us the choice of rooms we would like by showing us each of them. Was spot on the food she recommended for our dinner out ! Breakfast was a delight being able...

The inn is in an older building - tall ceilings, doorways, etc. It has a history of its own. The host was very pleasant and made every effort to accommodate our needs. Sam was pleasant to chat with in her own right and made every effort to introduce us to her other guests. She has a couple of very well...

The Walker Inn's location was great for us, within walking distance of everything we needed. The rooms are simple and clean. Sam and her two dogs, Hannah and Merlin, gives the place its character. Since we arrived by bicycle, it was important to us that restaurants and shopping, be within walking distance. The Walkers Inn is in the middle of...

Pictou is small and the Auberge Walker is in the centre of what little action there is. Nevertheless the greeting is warm and genuine (with friendly dogs) and the room just right. Quite a few stairs to negotiate, but worth it. Highly recommended even if only as stopover before or after taking the ferry to Prince Edward Island
