The Lodge was undergone several renovations over the years. It is scenically located and very convenient for the ferry to PEI. However, it is overpriced for what is basically a motel room. The restaurant food is average.

Stayed the last weekend of the season. Very impressed that you'd never know it. All services and amenities available. Kitchen was not out of any foods. Stayed in a three bedroom chalet. Pictures didn't do it justice. Was a beautiful, and large unit that still felt new. Wonderful grounds and beach. Staff was wonderful to our children. Can't say enough...

We traveled in early October before they closed for the season. There were 2 couples and we rented the executive chalet for 2 nights. The chalet was top notch! Two bedrooms, big bathroom, living area, kitchen and big deck with lawn chairs, bbq, and picnic table. The kitchen was very functional, dishwasher, large fridge, stove and the living room had...

The view is amazing. Lots to do on the property. The food is great. The bar is well stocked. The first person we met at the front desk was not very friendly but everyone we met after that more than made up for the first impression. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable. I would definitely...

Hotel style room with a king bed and working desk which was clean and comfortable. We noticed that it has the potential to be very noisy as the floor is common to all the suites and other people walking can easily be heard. The walls are of the same construction and thin. Luckily we only had neighbours on one side...

My daughter and I came down from Ontario for a wedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage was very comfortable and rustic. We had a view of the lake and the ocean. Appetizers were very tasty. Had great caesar salad and mussels for dinner. Seafood chowder for lunch was amazing. Very generous portions....

The room was great, nice and big it had 2 queen beds. Stayed in the Birch Queen room. Very clean. Love having a ceiling fan to circulate the air. Great view of the ocean. Had a balcony and chairs to sit outside. Not much lighting on the grounds for the evenings walking from the Lodge to your room. Great place...

We stayed in Pictou in a vacation rental and came to the lodge for breakfasts and a lunch. The food and service were well above average. Super views of the water! I recommend the eggs benedict. Also, the seafood chowder was excellent.

I can honestly say this is the best resort I've ever stayed at, you couldn't ask for better! You really don't expect to see such beautiful scenery of ocean views and bountiful wildlife at the end of the driveway. It's such a peaceful, quaint place to stay. Great place for a wedding, staff party or family reunion, great place for...
