I will not pretend I don’t love to stay at 5 star hotels. However; we needed to find a place fast and the Hilton delivered. I will say it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We got a. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom room for an amazing rate. Everything was super modern and clean. I highly recommend you stay at this hotel if you have the opportunity. Also…staff was A++
We stayed here with our 2 granddaughters. So convenient to the African Lion Safari, Butterfly Conservatory and restaurants. It was such a lovely surprise when we went down for breakfast to discover you get a freshly prepared one. There is a menu where you chose your choices of eggs, waffles, cereal, fruit, bacon, sausages, condiments, juices. Everything was prepared perfectly and so lovely to start your day with a hearty breakfast. I am sure they did this because of Covid but I hope they continue.
I called front desk over and over and over and no answer. When I went downstairs she was on her cell phone sitting in back room. Even tried to get room service and no answer. Had to go out of hotel to get food.
This hotel is in a central location and provides quick access to the 401. Although the hotel has been recently renovated it didn’t feel that way - the beds / pillows needed to be replaced. Our room didn’t have a second set of shades to pull down over the window so we had to clip the curtains with hangers to try and block out the light. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. I’d definitely stay here again - it’s pretty standard for a Hilton garden inn.
This was my worst stay at this location ever, I usually choose it as my regular hotel but this one was terrible. Multiple issues with cleanliness and maintenance problems upon arrival into the room (I took photos for my own records). Got 2 bottles of water on check in was the extent of my membership benefits… Air conditioning was not working properly and wouldn’t change temperatures or settings. Pillows on the bed were visibly dirty with mascara marks on the one pillow. Shampoo bottle in the bathroom was half full and previously used and not replaced. Stains inside the toilet bowl, stains and crumbs on the carpet near the bed, visible mold and mildew on the edge of the shower along the caulking. Drain and air flow in shower we’re both broken off and sitting in the shower and I placed them back on myself. Bedroom light switch was cracked in half and painted over. I usually enjoy staying here, but this disappointing experience has changed my mind about this location going forward.…
Everything was great. Bed and bedding quality are typical Hilton Garden Inn. Room was spotless. All staff members I encountered were friendly, efficient, and helpful. For its hotel category, it is in the top quartile.
We used the Hilton Garden Inn Cambridge as our base for several visits in the area. It is conveniently located off Highway 401 and close to several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has been refurbished and is modern, clean and inviting. Staff have been friendly and the restaurant has good food choices at surprisingly good quality (I am saying this because some people are wary of hotel restaurants).
The location is great for easy access to the heart of the SW Ontario animal agriculture sector. Despite being almost on top of the 401, the place is very quiet. The restaurant is decent, I had a spicy chicken wrap that I really enjoyed. The barman/ waiter was very friendly and attentive: I wish I could recall his name! The room was excellent, well maintained and clean, plenty of cable channels available. My only gripe was that I did not find the bed and pillows very comfortable and so did not get much sleep.
However staff was indifferent so don’t expect anyone to go the extra mile for you. There is a pool but very small and no hot tub. Also don’t eat here. Everything we had for breakfast or our meetings was mediocre at best.
Arrived at 3 pm, room was not ready. Staff didn’t even apologized and didn’t tell me the room wasn’t ready. They processed the reservation and made sure they are already prepaid via Expedia, then she told me “ we’re sorry” the room isn’t ready. Had to wait a couple hours until they got a room ready. Never had such a terrible experience before and never had to deal with disrespectful annoying front person
