Pros: Personable staff (Sam and Karol) were attentive, professional and helpful; Pet friendly (was the deal breaker for us); Ample parking, with easy access to room and ground level grass area to walk fur baby; Beds were clean and relatively comfortable; Didn’t have to ask for extra pillows! Cons: Hot water pressure not amazing; Found a bug in the room (but I’m hoping/thinking it wasn’t a roach); ‘Hot options’ that formed part of the ‘included breakfast’ were totally underwhelming and not appealing to look at or eat (but yogurt, cereal and juice were ok). Coffee was drinkable; One night stay with a pet was on the pricey side (over $220). Front desk and the housekeeping staff we met made it worth the stay (it was only one night). The property is dated. One elevator in the building situated at the end the furthest from where our room was situated made for some long walks to get to our room. A party seemed to be going on partly in the hallway and moving from roo. To room until around 3:00am. If we had called the front desk that might have intervened. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were not bad but having bacon and home fries would have made it better.

Will never stay here again! Hallways dirty with garbage & chairs & empty beer cans, has long term residents who take over the hallways & side entrance drinking. Had to move chairs to get out door. Woken at 3.45am with these residents shouting & banging! Asked for accessible room none available, was put on 2nd floor furthest away from the elevator.

Everything was hood because I put In my request to make sure my room in hood order especially check in midnight. The night receptionist was very friendly and she us really good. She still smile eventhough was a busy nite for her due to so many people checking in and inquiring. The breakfast even impress at all. The eggs too dry, only allow 2 sausages and the walfer ready taste bad. Funny taste. When check out, the receptionist have to come in to your room. And no guest allow to be in the room when he did the inspection before the hotel refund you the deposit. Not impress on that too. Why can the guest in the room while they do the room inspection? Not sure if I am going back again.

The reason there are limits to the breakfast items is due to supply issues. It is very hard to get all items required for our guests to have a good breakfast. I stayed here for a road trip of Ontario. Front desk clerk was super friendly. Room was very clean until I opened the fridge and it was filled with expired limes! Called front desk and they cleaned it immediately themselves since no housekeeping at night. Televison was also confusing to work. Covid 19 - Bathroom sanitized, lots of hand sanitizer and only hotel that has a free hot breakfast socially distanced! Server prepares breakfast for you. I stayed here for four nights in late February. The staff, particularly the young man who checked me in, was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not fancy, but more than adequate. The hotel is well maintained, my room was clean and the bed, comfortable. There is a local bus that stops right beside the hotel and takes you downtown in about 20 minutes; however, the return route is very circuitous and takes much longer. There are restaurants and a cinema within walking distance; there is also a shopping area about two km. away. The price for this hotel was very competitive when compared to others in the area. All in all, I had a pleasant stay with no complaints at all.

I stayed here one night on a trip through to Toronto. When I arrived the person (girl) at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful AND spoke English very well. She checked me in quickly and gave good directions to my room and parking. When I had difficulties operating the TV remote - it seemed overly complicated to just watch TV - she offered to come to my room to fix it, but we solved it over the phone...some issue about switching to HDMI input. The hotel was really clean and modern, and the breakfast was the usual Comfort Inn breakfast wehich was fine. The security on the doors - you need to use your room key to open most doors (side enterances, lobby enterance from the hallway, etc.) I felt very secure, I would definitey stay here again because of the staff and the clean/quiet hotel.…

Decades ago, when I used to travel regularly through Guelph for business, I would often stay at this Comfort Inn. Needing to visit Guelph for the first time in a long time, decided to give it a try again. It was an EXCELLENT price -- literally half of some of the other hotel chains in town -- and, because it was an older property, I honestly wasn't expecting much. What a nice surprise! This property has been well-maintained. My room had a nicely updated bathroom, a good-sized work desk, and a comfortable bed. It also had a good sized fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and an iron and ironing board. There were lots of available outlets for re-charging devices. The motel felt very secure and the front desk staff was as friendly and welcoming as I've experienced almost anywhere. Simple touches (like the shower curtain tucked artfully out of the way, hand towels and bath towels arranged on an angle on the bathroom shelf, etc) made it feel like management and staff really care about the place and want to make it feel welcoming. For the money, you will not find better value in Guelph. I'll be baack!…
