I understand most hotels hold an amount for incidentals, but there is no mini-bar and no room service. So, it seemed odd. Breakfast is buffet style, more like a motel than a hotel. The indoor pool is definitely a plus. We returned late on Saturday night (1am) to the sound of very loud partying (not us). It took management until 4am to deal with the noise. All facilities were well maintained, but overall nothing special. Better deals abound.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our first overnight kayak trip and we were concerned about the safety of our kayaks being left overnight in the parking lot on top of our vehicle. Karim, allowed us to park under the front canopy where there are surveillance cameras and in direct view of the front desk. We slept great knowing our kayaks were safe! Beds and pillows were very comfy. Room was very clean. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice to see that the pool was open until 11pm Breakfast was more than we expected with eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit plus all the regular breakfast items. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel and staff from 2021, Very helpful but not anymore. Can' t blame the staff and managers for having a bad day on this one. Customer service is gone. In 2001, Me and my wife stayed at the Hampton Inn and suites By Hilton in Guelph. We stayed in the Juccuzzi room on three separate occasions in the year for special occasions. My wife called to book rooms this year to book more rooms for the year and was shocked at how she was treated by staff before booking. She was just asking why the rate had doubled in price and that made the person on the other side of the phone became angry. The next day I called to talk to the manager about how the person made my wife feel and something should be said to him. I asked again why the price was doubled form last year, just to find out and again the manager was getting upset at me asking why. DO NOT ASK PRICE. They get upset. I told the manager that I was curious why the double in price then asked me if Iwanted to book the rooms and I could tell that he was irate as well and said no. He hung up without saying anything.

HVAC broke and pumped very hot air into the room all night. We woke up at 4am and it was truly unbearable. Called and spoke to lone staff at desk they didn't know what to do and only after complaining and pleading with them for 20 minutes did they finally decide to put us in a separate room which he had to knock on several times before entering because he did not seem confident at all that no one was staying in it??? Talked to manager the next morning. Was initially unwilling to offer any compensation and actually didn't believe that it was still a sauna in the room at 10am making remarks about how we should have known to adjust the thermostat or switch the system to VIP Mode?!?! Had to push for assistance and finally the manager reluctantly told me to go back up and meet their maintenance guy at the room at which point they finally believed us. Even then, no refund was ever offered when we asked for compensation on a horrible night stay with them. They did reluctantly offer a credit on our next stay but only after we had to push the issue but I can guarantee you we won't be staying here again. Oh and our family members stayed in a separate room that absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke and they again wouldn't acknowledge the issue or offer any type of assistance. "The credit card has already been charged, and we can't offer a credit, its policy"

Executive summary: Staff made a mistake on booking in and the manager tried to make us pay for their mistake. Even to the point the staff would not provide a bill on check-out before we left the building. For more detail, please see below: Booked 2 rooms for a two night stay for 4 adults (parents & their 2 children in their early twenties). On arrival, was told that only one room was available. On requesting two rooms, we were told that there must be a mistake and we would have to share a room, much to our disappointment. The next day, I was informed that the manager wanted to talk to me about why we only took one room. We were obviously confused. He started the conversation "you need to explain to me why you did not take your second room". I explained that no second room was available on check-in and two of his staff worked on trying to resolve the situation. He response being "you need to explain to me why you did not take the second room, you will be charged for the second room". A heated conversation ensued in which he continually tried to stop me mid sentence. On three occasions, I said "I am not happy with your conduct, and please let me speak". I told him that he needs to discuss the matter with his staff and review how the mistake happened rather than passing the fault onto his visitors. I then spoke to the staff member who booked us in and she stated she remembered the conversation. The manager said "we can meet in the middle and pay for one night and we can now have the second room. I stated that we were only staying one more night and due to his conduct, I am not prepared to take on the addition room or pay for anything other than the room we were allocated at check-in. On checking out, I asked for the bill and was informed that the the printer was broke and the manager would send an email. I requested the manager should send the email before we leave. Was informed that the manager was not present and he would send it on at a later time. The receptionist was informed that we would not leave until the email was sent and details of the bill were confirmed. I asked for the manager's name and was provided a wrong name. Eventually, the manager appeared and when I called the name given by the receptionist, he stated that it was not his name, turned his back on me and walked into his office not to be seen again. After a long conversation with the receptionist in which I explained that she is now complicite in deliberately providing the wrong information. Eventually, we did receive his name and on saying that the family will not leave the premises until the email we was sent and reviewed; we eventually got the bill and confirmed that it was correct.

The hotel was very busy due to a rugby tournament, my brother had booked 2 rooms which were not available so his family of 4 shared 1 room, the next day the duty manager questioned him about the 2 rooms booked and told him he would be charged even though it was confirmed by the girl Leah on reception that they didn’t have 2 rooms at the time of check in and as we were going to a wedding on the second day my brother advised the manager that they were not repacking and would all share the one room as they had the previous night, the duty manager was so rude and arrogant to my family and caused great upset. On check out the group was refused printed bills and was advised that the manager settles the bills and he wouldn’t be in until Monday 2 days from when we were checking out. We asked for the managers name and later discovered that we were given the wrong name. You can draw your own conclusions from this review but I would never recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

My family entered into a contract with this hotel for my sons wedding. They did not honour the contract and released rooms two weeks earlier than the contract had defined. They did offer rooms to some wedding guests at 100.00 more a room if they called so initially room availability wasn’t an issue. When we asked to talk to the Manager’s supervisor we were told is was owned by a group and they were not interested in hearing our concerns. Even on the day of the event the rooms were found to be booked wrong. If you are planning an event you don’t need this stress. Book somewhere else.

Location and breakfast are great, extremely outdated bathrooms rooms not clean, ok pool, gym is small but great. House keeping non existent, no one available to change towels on a daily bases or take out the garbage or vacuum the floor I had 4 small kids with me, which tend to make a little more mess the your average adult.

Poorly managed hotel and room cleanliness is secondary. Room assignment was double booked and guest already in our room. Second room given was dirty and sheets had not been changed. Terrible experience and we will not be going back here.
