I spent four nights at the Royal Albert B and B last week and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Very few B and Bs have single rooms anymore; if you are travelling on your own, you usually pay the couple's price, minus about $10 for the extra breakfast. I really enjoyed my time at the Royal Albert. The host was friendly and had an insider's knowledge of Kingston and it atttractions. The breakfast was delicious and large. Fresh baked breads and apple crisp! The B&B is close to downtown, on major bus routes and a cheap taxi ride from downtown, the bus or train stations. The rooms were... More

I stayed at the Royal Albert B&B for two nights. We were very comfortable in the rooms and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The rooms were clean and well kept and the owner provided excellent information for people visiting the city. It's in a great location in Kingston and you can walk to the waterfront, university, downtown easily.... More

1 - The owners of the B&B did not greet me when I arrived in the early evening. Their teenage son showed me to my room and told me where the shower was.... He wasn't sure if anyone else would be sharing the guest space with me that night. 2 - to have a shower, you must walk down 37... More

The Royal Albert is located near the heart of downtown Kingston. You can walk down Earl St. and you will soon realize that Queens University is just a couple blocks away, gorgeous grounds. You get a real feel for the neighbourhood, with all the different achitecture in the homes. Just a twenty minute walk and you are in the downtown... More
