Barbara and her assistant Maria were perfectly charming hostesses. They could not have made our party of four feel more welcome. The house is filled with interesting European antiques. The bedrooms were small but cozy, quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was amazing! Quiche, sweet pastry, pierogies, mushrooms, smoked salmon, excellent cheeses, two delicious salads;... More

Newly arrived from the UK, we were blown away by the breakfast at this charming B&B in beautiful Niagara on the Lake. All freshly cooked and perfectly presented. Highlights were a delicious rice pudding and cheese stuffed field mushrooms. Our host Barbara was funny and friendly and made us ver welcome

Had a lovely stay at The Dorchester House B&B for our Anniversary weekend. The owner, Barbara is friendly, and very helpful with information about the area, and she serves a large European style brunch instead of a typical breakfast. The room we had was beautifully decorated, with a private bath. When Barbara realized it was our anniversary she even got... More

Close to town and main street. Charming home filled with old world charm. Barbara is a lovely hostess. Food plentiful and very good. Lots of snacks available. Quiet, peaceful garden to sit and relax. Enjoyed conversation with other guests.

I stayed here with my mom for one night while enjoying the Shaw Festival. The bedroom was small but comfortable with it's own bathroom. The hostess/owner was very welcoming, cordial and friendly. It felt like staying with family. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, which was more of a FEAST than just a simple meal. Our hostess made... More

Staying with Barbara is like staying with family. If you want a nice place with a comfortable sleep and good breakfast - this place is for you. There is WIFI so you can look things up, no TV - but who needs that on vacation? The home is filled with antiques and lovely touches. The room was immaculate and well... More

We stayed at the Dorchester House for 1 night and we felt very welcomed. Barbara is a very good hostess and she makes sure that your stay is an enjoyable one. The room was small but was very clean and cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety of food to choose from.... More

This is a quaint home. It is about a 25 minute walk to the downtown village. When we arrived a neighbour was waiting for us as the hostess was in town shopping. She was quite friendly. We were staying in a bedroom with it's own bathroom although the bedroom was rather small, hard to get around the bed and the... More

The worst thing about the Dorchester House B&B is leaving. Too bad we only spend one night, because the breakfast/brunch was so amazing. Not only because of the amount of good food as breakfast, but also because of the extremely friendly and caring host Barbara. We really enjoyed the conversation during our breakfast. She has some amazing stories to tell!... More

Barbara was incredible right from the beginning! We arrived way too early (1030), as check in is 2 pm, but she brought us inside, gave us a cookie and a tour and let us park our vehicle for the day as we headed out for our wine tour. When we arrived back, we had a very comfortable bed in a... More
