This hotel is not my style however it might still be yours. I found it to be too old world charm for my liking. Small interior and felt too in closed in tight space. Service was friendly among everyone working here. They have free shuttle service to area sights. Free parking.

My wife and I have stayed at the Charles many times over many years. Our most recent stay, this past weekend, was a very sad disappointment. The staff, as always, were wonderful. The building, however, is being allowed to fall apart. This is a beautiful old building in a wonderful location. It deserves to be treated a whole lot better....

We have stayed here for several years for the Niagara region's Cuvee wine weekend and did so last week once again.Though it is under new ownership, thankfully little has changed in the inn.It is still a very tranquil place to relax or have a quiet, yet delicious meal. The rooms are lovely-we recently stayed in the Poppy Room which had a...

When we made reservations, I indicated our eating style , which is challenging for restaurants. We cannot change our eating as we feel so absolutely wonderful having made this change some two years ago.As you will see later on in this review they were very accommodating or should I say passionate about looking after things for us. My wife and...

Great location. Beautiful old house and rooms. Our room was the original kitchen and had a huge veranda overlooking the park/golf course which would be lovely in the summer time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great brunch on the sunlit terrace.

Hello Michele M, thank you for the lovely review. The Verandah Room is most certainly a guest favourite in any season and you are correct that sitting outside in the private porch is spectacular especially during the early morning or evening. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Charles Hotel and wish you all the best until then.

We enjoyed staying and eating at the St. Charles. The employees were very friendly and help, and the chef's capabilities are spectacular. We were well received, well treated and would definitely stay again.

My review regards the in-house restaurant, Hobnob. I have enjoyed this restaurant on several occasions and each time it was delicious. The restaurant itself is fine being in an historic house. The food/chef is the real star. I had my first French press coffee here and was hooked. Even my friend who never drinks coffee said she would drink it...

The Charles Hotel a.k.a. the Charles Inn is an historic Victorian building on Niagara-on-the-Lake's main street, immediately adjacent to the 9-hole NOTL golf course, said to be the oldest golf course in North America.
