My family (4 adults 2 kids)and I were staying as my mom was in hospital. The hotel was convenient and comfortable. The main asset is the staff who were so kind and helpful at a difficult time. Breakfast was fabulous. The pool does need some work but the kids enjoyed it. I recommend this hotel 200%. I loved the inspirational sayings on the mirror in the lobby!

Very good location, close to the beach and a short drive to local amenities. Due to COVID restrictions, the staff took great measures to maintain social distancing and making the guests feel safe, front doors locked at all times- access using room card. All staff wear masks, sanitizers available at all floors near elevators. All guests wear masks everywhere in the hallways and taking turns at the elevators. Breakfast was served as a take out to your room, out of 3 days went only once. Didnt use the pool but there was an option to book your spot for a 30 min swim, reduced hours of pool operation.
The rooms are big, with living room and a kitchenette fully stacked with all possible tools and dishes you need. (Bring your own dishwashing sponge, without it the dishwasher wont fully clean the pans). Induction stoves tops in the room.
Very comfortable beds and pillows. I doubted the cleaning ness of the room (but thats me...) so before I let my kids touch anything I wiped the whole room with my own Lysol wipes. The vanity sink was clogged and they fixed it on the second day. There was a used stick-light hanging in the shower which made me doubt the cleaning of the room a bit more. Due to COVID restrictions there is no room service for your whole stay, which is fine by me. You will get all of your needs met if you ask a staff member. To conclude, we had a great stay and considering the unprecedented times we are in right now, we had a great stay and will highly recommend this hotel. Will be happy to visit again, thank you.

Stayed 1 night on Tuesday Dec 20th.
2 Queen beds in a separate room... shower and toilet in their own room, sink and mirror with a clothes closet off the bedroom.
Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner is in wall mounted pump bottles as is hand soap and body lotion.
Entry way has a stainless steel full size GE fridge, a two burner induction cooktop, microwave, deep sink, full size dishwasher, lots of drawers, and pretty much all kitchenware for cooking.
Also has a kettle, and a coffee maker.
Living room has a 3 seater pull out couch/bed, a lazy boy type of chair, rolling coffee table and a footstool.
Desk in bedroom and a large flat screen TV in each room.
Room was very clean and comfortable.
Sheri at check in and check out was the friendliest person in North Bay!
Great asset on the front desk. :)
(Snow removal on this visit was better than my last visit in 2021 thanks)

My wife and I have stayed in Homewood Suites by Hilton North Bay from Oct 9th to Oct 12th, 2020.
It seems that there was no housekeeping crew available for the entire weekend. I understand that routine housekeeping is not provided due to COVID19, however, and as stated on the room information sticker, it should be available upon request. On Friday afternoon, we have requested housekeeping to be provided on Saturday, the front desk told us they need 24hrs notice for the service, so we requested to schedule housekeeping for Sunday morning. To make sure the request has gone through, I stopped by the front desk on Saturday evening, but the front desk [evening crew] said they don't typically provide any housekeeping for a 3-nights stay, even upon a request, contradicting both the hotel policy and the promise that we've been given in the morning.Â
To our disappointment, the room was not cleaned on Sunday as well, so we called for fresh towels. However, the front desk told us their short-handed and we need to go downstairs to pick them up. This is all happening on a weekend where the hotel is fully booked, expectedly.Â
Lastly, the sitting area for breakfast is open, but no cleaning services are provided. It's impossible to know which table has been cleaned/sanitized since there's no systematic label management provided. Long lines to get breakfast and empty trays [bread, utensils, yogurts, etc.].

This hotel and staff are not up to the usual standard of a Homewood Suites. We travel regularly and normally stay in a Hilton or Holiday Inn property. We understand that there are challenges due to COVID; however, we were surprised at the unfriendliness and unresponsiveness of staff. The stay was definitely overpriced for the services received. The hotel was sold out as it was Canada Day weekend, but the staff did not seem to want us there. The room was not ready at check-in (3pm) and still not ready after 4pm. The water flow was not good but bearable the first evening - a normal 10 minute shower took 30; however, the second evening (9:30pm), there was next to no water (small amount of water dripping slowly) and when we asked at the front desk, we were told that everyone was using the shower at the same time. I continued to try the shower at 10pm, 10:30pm and 6am the next morning and there was still no water. The water dripping from the shower took over a few minutes to fill a small water glass. My family used the sink to wipe off the sunscreen and bug spray from the day. Also, the pull out couch was extremely lumpy and could feel springs - this needs to be replaced.

Other Hilton properties during Covid allow guests to eat in the breakfast room ( i.e. Hilton in Levis QC). So why they insist on guests taking breakfast back to the room is not appreciated. Also , the front desk never said they were giving us a handicap room. I did not appreciate that either. On my next reservation with Hilton, I will be on my guard for these switches and won’t be as obliging

The hotel was nice, however, we reserved/paid for a suite and they gave us a regular room. We specifically got a suite so our baby could sleep in a separate room we didn’t all have to go to bed a really early. When we asked, the person at the desk was very unapologetic and said they didn’t have any left. They made a comment to say it was our fault because we didn’t put our baby on the reservation (which we didn’t bother with since we didn’t want to rely on the hotel to provide an adequate crib, so brought our own). Otherwise nice hotel and decent breakfast.

This was my second stay at this hotel and it was just as great as the first one. From a text message that I received prior to my arrival, asking if there was anything that I needed to hanging a do not disturb sign in the early hours of the morning when I couldn't locate one in the room. This is now my "go to" hotel in North Bay!

Our experience was exceptional at Homewood suites North Bay, the rooms were perfect, lots of amenities and the kitchenette was a bonus. The bed were extremely comfortable and we really enjoyed our swim in the pool! The breakfast was above average for what is allowed during the pandemic, the food was hot and fresh. The location was prime, we walked to the lake and enjoyed a trail walk and some park fun for our little guy. We Will be back!

This is my favorite place to stay in North Bay, any time of the year. It is especially nice in summer/fall due to the proximity to Lake Nipissing. Another reason is that they offer a hot breakfast every morning, and an evening social Monday through Thursday.

Thank you for your question Jenny. Currently our Evening Social has been temporarily suspended. We are hopeful to be able to bring this great amenity back in the next quarter.
Yes, all bedding is changed and rooms and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting on some last minute photography to be done with our jetted tub rooms being on that list. The tubs are so deep it can take up to 30 minutes to fill the tub but totally worth the wait!
