I'm not a fan of any hotel with the Wyndham name attached to it. This is based on my experience with these branded hotels in the US. So far, and I've stayed in (or read horrible TA reviews on others) and they all tend to be dirty to filthy. I'm not sure why it's different in Canada. Maybe it's because Wyndham inspects these properties - not sure. What I can say is they are completely different here. This is one of the best branded properties I've found yet. Let me be clear: this is an older property, but the owner has taken responsibility to keep it well maintained and clean. We liked it very much and I really don't have any negatives to report. Here's the good: *Clean inside and out. This includes the vinyl plank flooring in the rooms. They are clean. *It's well maintained. In fact, the owner was on site, and I met him twice. Hardworking man. *They provide a nice hot breakfast. Eggs, sausage, juice, yogurt, bagels, coffee. You get it. *40" TV with no movie channels. *Fridge. *Microwave. *Coffee Maker. *Iron and board. *Hair dryer. *Desk and chair. *Lounge chair. A very nice experience. Go for it. …

Good price, very clean, comfortable and spacious room. Free WIFI and cable TV. Friendly staff and free breakfast with good selection of items. Very happy with our stay and will stay again and recommend to friends.

Front desk and staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The motel was clean, well kept, pleasant smelling and good value. Internet was very good and the included breakfast was simple but good. We had difficulty getting a taxi, after waiting close to an hour the front desk arranged a private ride so we could go out for dinner. Not happy with 5-0 Taxi!

In-town location, on the lake. Though adequate in all respects, the property is somewhat worn. We took a room "upgrade" into an oddly furnished, extremely large room that felt somewhat more like a dance floor with bedding on one side and desk, etc on the opposite. Clean, responsive front desk but not particularly inspiring.

Great location: by the lake, 5 mins drive to main/mclntyre street. walking distance to super market, stores, restaurants. Hotel is nice clean: breakfast area, lobby, hallway, room are clean Excellent customer service: easy check in/out The room with kitchen is spacy!

All things are sooooo clean! Amazing hot breakfast included! Amazing staff! A must stay at hotel! I was working on a film set out in north bay and stayed at this place for 2 weeks. The staff was understandable and executed everything very well! S+ hidden gem.

We wanted a cheap place for my husband to sleep when we traveled to north bay for a sleep study for me. This place is run down and smells like gallons of Febreeze have been used to mask the smell of this place. Thank goodness I had to sleep elsewhere or we would have chosen to lose our money and go to a different hotel. The positive recommendations must be from friends or family of the owners. No way was anyone other than a homeless person impressed by this place.

Friendly, helpful, and inviting staff. Pre-book as this place fills up fast! It is clean, well maintained and all staff are great at customer service, so I can see why the hotel is always booked! And the price was competitive too! 🙂

The room are ok but felt worn out and not clean. The carpet looks dirty, and the ceiling has been patches and looks terrible. Lots of wear and tear in hallway as well. Overall I feel my stay was disappointing as I have stayed at similar Super8 hotels and been satisfied. This time I am not impressed. Not sure I would stay here again.
