I never got the room that I had reserved online. Instead got a down grade. Check in process was not good. Staff was having major difficulties with his computer system and took well over 30 min. Then after getting things from car and coming back through front door, the door was locked and front desk attendant no where to be found. So I was locked outside of the property an additional 15 min . So the check in process took me nearly an hour to get to my room. Check out was the worst part and the reason I’m taking time out to leave this review. After leaving the manager Michael Mason had called to tell me that I smoked in the room and there would be a charge on my visa of $285 because of this. Which would be understandable had I of actually smoked in the room, however I in no way shape or form smoked in the room. This was very upsetting and not right. Hotel smelled like a mix between a gym locker room & cigarettes. I opened my window as soon as I got to the room and was going to burn a candle to mask the smell but had no lighter. Construction on site started at 7 am and was very noisy. Was never warned of this. Place was very run down, and dusty. Pillow cases in room clearly hadn’t been changed from the stay prior. No towels in the room. Over all not a good stay, and I wasn’t planning on returning, but the added $285 charge really had me upset and ruined my whole day. I never usually leave reviews, but I hope this is not being done to others…
This is the 3rd time You have asked me for a review. I’m not going to change my mind. I’ll give it one star but if I could I would give it a -20 star. In the morning I thought I would be doing the cows leave me a favour by putting all my garbage in one pail but I found in the desk garbage can gross sex paraphernalia. Then when I lifted the duvet off the floor it’s lifted the top sheet and on my bed I found long black hairs. The hairs and the sex garbage were not mine!, it was now obvious that the room was never cleaned!!! I paid $168 for a gross used unclean room.
Pillows were horrible, bed was horrible, the patio door was coming apart from the frame, could barely get the door to lock. The remote for the tv was broke. It’s pretty bad when your 13 year old grandson can’t wait to leave. I will never stay in another travelodge!
