The room was specious and clean. The downside the cleaning was laughing and talking so loud it startled me in my sleep (both nights I stayed and before 10am). The location was approximately 5 minutes by car to the Saint-Laurent mall center, thus the train station. Park your cat there and take the train to go downtown (14 minutes)
Clean, updated, nice pool and gym, Spotless lobby rooms and facilities, full breakfast with egg, sausage, waffles, toast hot and cold cereal, coffee fruit muffins toast bagels, quick check in and out, quiet rooms
Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and modern. Very happy there was underground parking, and the outdoor lot offers plenty of space when the underground is full. The "O"-train is accessible at the end of the parking lot, making it very easy to get downtown without your car. Breakfast experience was the only negative. The busy period was very crowded, so I waited and arrived 20 minutes before end of breakfast. There were 2 plain omelettes left, and 2 sausages. I took one of each, then ate with my wife who had arrived earlier. (There were also packaged bagels and muffins still available.) My wife mentioned there was yoghurt and box juices in a bin with ice, but they had been cleared away by the time I arrived. I went back for more eggs, hoping they'd been replenished. There were none, so I asked the kitchen staff. I'll only say the person I asked wasn't happy about it. I got the impression there is a lot of pressure to be cleaned up by the end of breakfast. The TV in the room shut off exactly on the hour. My whole morning was a bit sour after that interaction, despite a great stay, otherwise. I'll also say that we arrived after a couple of days in a Montreal hotel, where the breakfast offered more variety and all items were available and replenished as needed until the end of breakfast.…
Room was clean and very spacious, had everything we needed including a mini fridge and microwave. Beds weren’t overly comfortable but decent enough. Large TV with cable channels. We had a problem with the heat not coming on, we only wanted it up a few degrees and mentioned it to the front desk. A maintenance guy came into our room and said the fan cannot be on auto. When he switched it to “on” we heard the fan kick in. Unfortunately it only blew room temperature air for the remainder of our stay, the thermostat temp never went up which made sleeping a bit chilly. Breakfast was included which is very convenient however the breakfast area is quite small and each morning we seemed to grab the last table. We were there on weekdays so I would think getting a spot on the weekend would be tricky. Basic continental breakfast, not great but not bad. The pool area was very clean and well kept. I thought the iridescent tiles were quite nice. Would have loved if there was a hot tub. Judging from the pictures on TripAdvisor it looks like it was taken out with the renovations. All staff we encountered was very friendly and kind. Would stay here again.…
Really nice hotel for the price. Friendly staff, ordinary but really clean room and a nice indoor heated pool. The beds are comfortable and the coffee in the room is good. Breakfast buffet was great. They had many options and my kids loved the mini waffles. The breakfast staff were really sweet too. Would definitely stay again.
This was the overall good quality that I would expect from this brand. Could not fault anything. The staff were friendly and efficient, the lobby was welcoming, bright and modern. Room was very large, clean and well equipped. Huge bathroom! Free parking and breakfast. The breakfast was impressive, self serve and a lot of variety. The only thing I would say is that you might need a car as the location is a little out of town, a couple of miles.
Hotel is adjacent to a Convention Center, very convenient for that purpose. In my case, it was a 15 min walking distance from the Embassy I was visiting. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, cereals). Clean and comfortable rooms
Excellent service with clean rooms, facilities and welcoming staff. Front desk team (Vanessa and her colleagues) was exceptionally efficient and addressed all our requests immediately. The breakfast buffet spread was wholesome and it was great to see Hillary go out of her way to help guests.
Our stay at the hotel was excellent, the staff (Vanessa and her co-worker) at the reception were attentive, making a great effort to help us solve a personal problem with our documents, for which we are very grateful. The room was spotless and comfortable.
Came to Ottawa to watch a CFL game and would like to add our Argonauts won. Arrived on Sept. 23 and we were not disappointed from the moment we arrived at Hampton Inn. Check in was handled very professionally by Sam. Answered any and all our questions. Not 10 minutes after check in we were about to get on the elevator and the power went out. The staff went into immediate safety protocols. I think the lady in charge was Carol. Checked all floors, placed flashlights and so on. Impressive. Our room was large, nicely decorated and my wife loved the size of the shower. We stayed for 3nights and each morning we enjoyed our breakfast. The two ladies that handle the breakfast…Hilary and Elaine did a great job in keeping the breakfast hot and stocked. As well, they both have a great personality and made our stay even better. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back next time we come to Ottawa.…
