Lovely Victorian Mansion built in 1886 by John McGee (Canadian Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald, appointed him Clerk of the Privy Council of Canada as well as Deputy Governor to the Governor General). Lots of history here as his brother was the infamous D’Arcy McGee and his son was Frank McGee the “one eyed wonder” hockey player who was...

My visit to Ottawa was made better by a stay at McGee's Inn. The location, close to downtown and the Byward Market, is perfect and the bed was comfortable with cool AC. Breakfast was another highlight of the trip, setting you me for a great day of seeing the sights.

Best place in Ottawa to stay. Great family run Inn and extremely hospitable. Located in the heart of the city, close to all tourist attractions and great value all around. Great for families too! Thanks again Armstrong family!

I have stayed here before and will stay here again. The staff at McGee's is by far the most helpful of anywhere I have ever stayed. They go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. I don't know if they do this all the time, but they were serving up ribs in the courtyard while I...

If you are looking for a great place within walking distance of downtown, the shops, the galleries and the Ottawa dining spots, McGee's Inn is an excellent choice. For those not a huge fan of Victorian era, room #24 in the annex is a good fit, with its own entrance, modern decor and a good view of the road. I...

I have stayed at McGee's 3 times and each time in a different room. They are all beautiful and within walking distance to C'est Bon Cooking which is so much fun as well as to they Byward Market. Breakfast is included and was different each time. Go and enjoy.

Easy check in and out; hospitable staff. Great breakfast without being overly formal or pushy. Wish I had packed lighter for staying way upstairs, a lot of steps with too much stuff, but that was my fault, just be forewarned. I got smart when we left and took a load to the car on the way to breakfast. Loved room...

I've stayed at McGee's in many times; the owners and staff are never anything less than friendly and welcoming. The Inn and it's rooms are inviting, charming and cozy. The food is always fresh and delicious. I would recommend McGee's Inn to friends and family and will return.

Within 30 minutes of arrival we were ready to leave. Hauling suitcases, etc up from the parking lot was awkward and uncomfortable, then we had to turn over car keys before we'd finished unloading our car. Luckily the next two days were a huge improvement. Nora, at breakfast was a breath of fresh air and friendship! It is our first...

We stayed two nights in a room in the new annex of McGee's Inn. The room had a private access and parking which was a very nice feature. I suppose that the rooms in the original building are more grand, this was functional with a good bed, a spacious bathroom and good wifi connection. The staff is very friendly, breakfast...
