Our room was outdated, but it was large and clean. It looked like they had started making some updates - the fridge, microwave, TV, and chairs all looked relatively new. The wifi worked well. The shower had good water pressure. The bed wasn't amazingly comfortable, but it was good for a night. We chose this place because it was pet...

An interesting experience. On an extended road trip, tiring of what seemed to be high prices and paltry rewards from my usual 'default' chain, I decided to go independent, trying to save a few bucks. Noting that the Voyageur was rated 16th out of 33, I wondered, how bad could it be? I'm not sure bad is the right word,...

Pros: - very clean room - free wifi - cable - comfy bed - was able to park right in front of our room - not far from downtown Thunder Bay Cons: - limited cable channels - room is stuck in the 1970/1980's - hubby found that the hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up...

Check in was quick and easy and the manager was very kind. Room is clean and I checked the nooks and crannies because I've worked I the hotel motel business for hotels in the USA for 4 years and I know where to look. Carpets need replacing, huge Crack in bathroom floor, inner door stopper was busted and decor needs updating...

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights. It wasn't much, room was small but staff were friendly, it was affordable and pet friendly. It was quite and comfortable. That's all you need when traveling.

It was late at night, I was tired, looked for a place to stay overnight, had a choice of several places along this commercial area in Thunder Bay, and just wheeled into the lot at this Voyageur Motel, and was very happy with the fellow that came right out to help me, found a nice quiet comfortable room, was quick,...

I booked a room for a week and needed to cancel. I had paid in advance in good faith and told him I'd be back to see a room as he couldn't show me one that night. I found other arrangements and went into cancel with a weeks notice. He told me he had to charger a fee because visa...

My agency booked me into this dive . It's in a seedy motel strip on the outskirts of Thunder Bay , past the Marina . I was supposed to have a non smoking room . I was shown a room reeking of smoke with a vac running to "clean the air " . I had phoned ahead twice to be...

I would recommend the Voyageur Motel, and I would stay here again. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, room temp was adequate. Hotel furniture was mismatched, but who cares? We didn't come to spend our visit in the room looking at the furniture. As long as the place was clean and the bathroom didn't have mushrooms growing in it...

This was my spouse and I's second stay at the Voyageur. They are kind, professional and obviously put a lot of their time into the business. We stayed on the second floor (a smoking room, which was all that was left as this place books up fast) with our two dogs. The furniture, bed and fridge was brand-new. The television...
