Service and staff were amazing. Beautifully decorated. Nice vibe overall and lots to offer. Only annoyance was our broken fridge… we asked for it to be fixed or replaced as soon as we arrived, they said they were coming up with a new one and then never did… disappointing.
Wonderful overall experience. Starting from the car valet, check-in, room, food, beverages, service, amenities, and location the choice could not be surpassed! Loved the signature fragrance in the lobby, soft fluffy white towels, comfy duvet, natural wood decor, and Nespresso machine with stone cups. The hotel staff epitomizes professionalism and warmth.
1 Hotel in Toronto is a lovely place to stay, and it has the potential to be a 5-star hotel, but I would say my experience fell just short of it. The location is 2nd to none, as it's next to King Street West and within walking distance of many cool restaurants and shops. My main attraction to this hotel was the rooftop pool, which didn't disappoint. The rooftop pool can only be accessed by guests of the hotel and residents of the building. It's a very private, luxurious vibe, where you're taking in some of the best scenery of Toronto while sipping on drinks and cooling down in the pool. It's a nice selling point and feature for anyone staying at the hotel during summer. The room was very nice and spacious, with a semi-private terrace, a comfortable bed, and a cozy bathroom rain shower. I was pleased with the quality of the room. The 1 Kitchen and Flora Lounge were great spots in the hotel for quality cocktails and food. I would recommend both. However, I did not have a good experience at Harriet's rooftop bar and would not recommend this restaurant. You're better off ordering drinks or snacks by the pool while taking in the scenic views. Lastly, I had heard good things about Casa Madera but didn't get the chance to check it out. Now, my complaints and reasons for this hotel falling short of a 5-star rating. The hotel was about 3 hours late in getting my room ready. I was told check-in time was for 3 PM, and I had shown up a bit early (230PM) in hopes my room would be ready a bit early. I had given them the heads up as well. But no sweat, it wasn't. The room wasn't unfortunately ready until after 6 PM, over 3 hours late... which to me is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel charging premium rates. They did send over a bottle of champagne to the room, which I thought was nice, but it did leave me disappointed with the room issue. Also another complaint is the parking garage is not a pleasant experience. If you're driving and parking in the hotel lot, it can be a rather sketchy and frightful place to be in. Just a heads up as it's not the most inviting. Note: The complimentary Tesla rides were very cool, and the staff was all very friendly. 12PM checkout is a nice bonus as well. I will not be in a hurry to return back to 1 Hotel Toronto, but I will visit here again in the future. …
Loved my stay here, everything at the hotel is thought out thoroughly and when you come you feel at ease and can actually relax. Amazing pool and food and amazing food all ages. Would 100% recommend !
Honestly, this was an absolute life saver and soul reviver. Such a wonderful stay with fantastically refreshing ambience, a clean and clear vibe, friendly helpful staff and superb facilities. Will definitely be trying out other 1 Hotels about the world when I can. Thank you!
The hotel is lovely and the rooms were very nice but the service was awful. Room service was terrible it took over an hour to come for breakfast and was cold. They did reverse the charge but we then had to go out for breakfast.
1Hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The design and decor is stunning. Beds were very comfortable and the location is excellent. Unfortunately, like most businesses, staffing is a challenge. Most of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly however, there were a few that I truly don't believe should be in the hospitality industry especially the front desk. On the other hand, Robin is probably the best and nicest concierge we have ever experienced. He truly made our experience exceptional and really knows how to make people feel special. Anna Maria our server at Harriott's was also the sweetest and best server we experienced during our 3 days in Toronto. Overall, I would recommend staying at 1 Hotel next time you visit Toronto
We stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the many amenities. Fruit infused water in the lobby most days and filtered water in the sinks/showers is a very nice touch during the summer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The building can become crowded as there are long-term rentals, a business operating out of the penthouse, a restaurant and small pool area on the roof and only 2 elevators servicing the 15-20 floors (including subterranean)
Ashton was so charming and professional upon check in, knowledgeable about the property and eager to tell us about the wonderful amenities. Very impressed with his warm, engaging demeanor. Aaron is another gem at this property. He quickly and effortlessly sorted a situation out for me and had delightful conversation with me while doing so. Jay, our server in 1 Kitchen, was delightful. We took all his dining suggestions and devoured everything: green goddess salad, heirloom tomatoes, pesto pasta and cheeseburger. Jay made sure we had a terrific dining experience and we were very pleased with not only the food but the ambiance as well. Great music btw… The 1Hotel Toronto is definitely where the cool kids of all ages stay…make sure you experience it for yourself!
I would highly recommend 1 Hotel Toronto for anyone looking to get away for some rest and relaxation. Such a calming space filled with beautiful, sustainable decor and an abundance of plants. The Tesla ride downtown was extremely welcoming on such a hot day as was the rooftop pool later in the afternoon when we needed to cool off. We will definitely be back. Thank you .
