The roomes in the house do not look like the pics. It is in a good location in down town TO. However there is only a security pad lock to enter, no dead bolts on any door especially the bedrooms. In fact my room had a large glass window in the door covered with thumb tacks for window covering and...

Comfy bed, kitchen, restroom. Near by bus, streetcar, subway and shops. The landlord is friendly, helpful and nice person. The internet link is very good when I was in the kitchen having my meals. I do recommend it.

Stayed here for a week in May. The Rooms are very comfortable, as I stayed in two different ones during the week. The top room has a lovely roof terrace as well. My boyfriend and I were in town for a few days and we really enjoyed our stay. Mr. Tahir was very accommodating and helpful and we found the area of Cabbagetown to be excellent for convenience of shops, restaurants, pubs, and public transport. Our room was a private en suite and it was facing the street though we were never...

Great location for the price. Very basic room, but that's what you get for the money. The only thing I found to let it down was that we had the room right by the kitchen, people cooking early hours . Tahir is a great bloke though and was keen to tell us about Toronto which was great!

I made a reservation for three nights and made a special request in the provided field at booking.com that I would prefer to pay with my debit card upon arrival. At around 5pm I receive a call from the individual managing the inn; he appears to be rushed and hurried over the phone, demanding my time of arrival. I tell...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
