We wanted a place in the middle of everything, kinda park the car until it's time to leave, the Renaissance was perfect. The room was clean! Which is a huge deal for me. The staff was friendly and made check in/out fast and easy.

Good spot for location in downtown. Neat rooms overlooking the stadium. On the train side it was a bit louder than one would like but not bad. Nice to have STARBUCKS in lobby. Good food at the Terrace bar. Had an Arriba sandwich and would eat that again. Good strong wifi in the room

The Location is amazing, like others have said there are many things within walking distance. At the time we stayed the hotel was very quiet. The hotel lobby and elevator itself was clean, and the staff was very nice. The room itself was very lack luster. We stayed in a normal room, not looking into the stadium. It was smaller...

Check-in was fast and fabulous, especially when we were told they had upgraded our room. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions and were always asking if we needed anything else. We had 8th floor, room with a view of CN tower and city. Rooms were clean and modern. The pool is large and very clean. The kids...

We stayed one night on an overnight trip to Toronto. The walk from Union Station on the skywalk (covered most of the way) was easy and the hotel is next door to the CN Tower, Ripleys Aquarium and the Steamwhistle Brewery so a very central location. Even though it was the week before Christmas the hotel and surrounding area were...

This hotel was very comfortable. The beds were great and rooms were nice. The front desk staff was very pleasant on check-in and departure. Starbucks staff was also very pleasant. Room service was prompt and very good with, once again, great staff. Highly recommend.

Great hotel in a perfect location! Very clean spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Large pool with hot tub...both at good temperatures. Lots of reviews said it was hard to find but we didn't have any problems. Only complaint was that we weren't a fan of the onsite restaurant Arriba. But in all fairness we only tried it once. Great CAA prices...

Stayed for 2 nights on the way to Chatham, staff very friendly and efficient. Great for CN Tower and Ripleys Aquarium and Rogers Centre. Would stay again if/when coming to Toronto. Easy to get around town and great restaurants in easy reach.

I've stayed at the Renaissance Toronto on several occasions over the past ten years for business and leisure. Each visit is always wonderful. The staff is always accommodating and friendly, the rooms are unique and are consistently remodeled and updated, although the bathrooms could use some extra remodeling. They are very spacious and have great soundproofing. I sleep lightly and...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
