To begin, with the front desk could not find my reservation, not sure what the issue was but they gave me a hard time but they eventually found it. That was a hassle to begin with and I had not even entered the room yet. Upon entering the bathroom I was appalled at the state of both bathroom and toilet.... More

Concave headboards & squishy pillows make it impossible to prop up in bed to watch TV, visit etc. Small rooms with tiny bathroom and drawers. Problems with phones. Dim tv & dim room lighting. Friendly staff. Clean, quiet room. Good location, odd decor with terribly uncomfortable couches in lobby.

I have traveled a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels for both business and leisure and I can say that this stay at Hyatt Regency Toronto is by far one of the best one I've experienced in terms of service. It was my first time to stay at this hotel and I chose this because it was... More

This hotel was provided to me from my company because of preferred rates. It is not the worst hotel ever, but not the best either. The rooms are adequate, but in my case, I can tell my room was not originally constructed as such, it was a bit odd and confusing. It seemed as if my room was once the... More

As a Hyatt Gold Passport member, I choose Hyatt whenever possible. We chose this hotel based on lication and pricing. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On day of our stay was my birthday. Shivani went out of her way to wish me Happy Birthday and even sent a slice of cake to our room. What a nice surprise to... More

The only issue was the parking elevator. Other than there old, shaky elevators everything was perfect about the hotel. That's all i have to say. Location cannot be beat, Starbucks right in the hotel, nice restaurants at a decent price.

Nice room and good staff, but the best part is the location. Steps to restaurants, pubs and entertainment options in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District. Beds were comfortable and the blackout curtains and good sound insulation were great for those not wanting to rise early.

This hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the city and close to restaurants, bars, attractions and the theatre (entertainment) district. The staff are tremendously pleasant, professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend it to out of town visitors and locals alike.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
