Waking up and looking for real coffee (not made in the room) brought me to the front desk where I asked, "Is there a place for coffee nearby?" which was met with a finger! Not 'the' finger. He pointed 30 feet away to the Starbucks just off the lobby. Excellent pillows, beds, TV, showers, and location. my new go-to Toronto...

The staff was very nice. Checking in was very easy. The bar has a really nice atmosphere, my friend said her drink was really good. The man who was playing the piano was lovely, and a very nice touch. The only thing about the room is that there was some random persons sock on the ground that belonged to neither...

The staff were very friendly. Awesome shower. Great location. Very modern rooms very nice but a bit on the small side and the lighting in the room was in the dark side. Great central location in downtown Toronto. Free wifi.

Renovated hotel falls short of adequate. No clock in room. Bathroom is tiny with no place to put cosmetics etc. No rack or shelf in shower ...no place to put shampoo bottle. Cannot imagine two people staying here happily. Room service and restaurant done at 11 pm. Don't have a delayed flight.

The staff is super attentive and friendly. There is a Starbucks here, very nice! The rooms are well appointed. The only little thing that made me take 1 star away was the smell of the sheets and the squishy pillows. The pillows were kind of just thrown on the bed. They were not nice lilies at all. The sheets smelled...

Extremely friendly front desk staff, cool (recently renovated?) and nicely laid out rooms, super clean rooms. The lobby bar gets busy and crowded around 5 pm. They have a real Starbucks in the building. Will definitely stay here again when in Toronto. Only one con - as others have mentioned, the parking is a bit tight with a larger SUV.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
