We stayed here this past weekend and got a discounted rate for Comicon. The stay was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service we received while both checking in and out was friendly, polite, and efficient. Whenever we encountered any of the staff we were always greeted with a friendly smile. We thought it would be loud...

Great location but was surprised to see no doormen at all on King St. entrance. When I checked out I was told I could get a cab outside. No one out there or cab light of any kind. Waited almost 15 min. for a cab. Room lighting was very dim and no where to put your stuff. No dresser of...

Just spent the weekend in Toronto and the Hyatt was a great place to stay. Fantastic location in the heart of the entertainment district, so walking distance to most everything. The room was nice and had a spectacular view of downtown including the CN Tower. While there were a couple of minor cosmetic touchups needed, it was very well appointed...

I booked through a third party and did not get the two beds I was counting on. Needless to say I was debased but guess what I could upgrade to a suite. I hadn't counted on spending all that money but in the end we had a fancy suite for a reasonable amount. I still feel somewhat exploited but I'm...

This was a great hotel. Friendly staff. Great rooms. Great location and the hotel restaurant was a plus as well. I would recommend this hotel. I'll stay again. The only thing negative I would say is that the elevators are a bit slow..

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
