Hotels in Toronto tend to be pricey mainly because of the limited space and high demand. The Comfort Hotel is in the "average" price range for being downtown. Rooms have been remodeled and are very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff friendly and helpful which is great for out of towners.. Proximity of attractions is a plus and many restaurants near.... I chose this hotel for its price and proximity to the UT campus where I was attending an academic conference. I've traveled all over the world and I usually choose cheaper hotels, thinking 'why pay a lot for a hotel when I'll just be sleeping there?' Well, my stay at this hotel has inspired me to reevaluate that philosophy. After... More

The location is very convenient, the price is reasonable, limited underground parking available but despite renovations the property is old. The doors are not at all sound proof so any hall activity is clearly audible. The room was large, the bed comfortable the bath small but functional.

We stayed in the Junior suite and it consisted of a spacious living room, bedroom and one bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised with the furnishing and cleanliness and felt very comfortable in this hotel. Check-in was really fast and so was check-out since there were 2 receptionists on duty; you can leave your luggage with them if you are leaving... More

When checking in manager of hotel manager would not let me in room without a credit card..which i did not have since this was work stay. He was the rudest man I have ever met. Might be easy to overlook if the rooms were not rundown and completely dirty....only thing that will fix this hotel is a match.

Not enough parking spaces for guests, when asking questions about local restaurants they don't know for any that delivered, vending and pop machine don't work. Treated future guests disrespectfully over phone in front of current guests. No view from hotel windows and strip club across the street.

Great location, close to Yonge/Bloor Streets. Easy to get to. Check in was handled courteously and efficently by hotel staff. The room was big, bright and clean. The bathroom was small but adequate. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the Continental Breakfast (included in booking). I will stay there again when I come to Toronto.

This is a very wonderful place to stay. The staff was wonderful. My room was large and a nice view. The bathroom was small but very clean. The underground parking was small and tight and not a lot of parking.

We have come to trust the Comfort Inn brand and this was no exception. We were in Toronto for a retirement party and didn't want to spend a fortune on a hotel. We were very surprised to find that this hotel that has been there for probably 50 years was now a Comfort Hotel...as they call it. The hotel is... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
