OK, well first off, anyone staying there should not use the hotel parking unless they need in/out privileges. Otherwise it's cheaper to park in the attached above-ground parking. And I had no problem with cleanliness or friendliness of the staff - but so many other things were niggling problems that it made for an overall uncomfortable experience. Really odd squinchy...

Thank you for your thorough review of your recent stay with us. I wholeheartedly apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. Parking in the area is based on a 12 hour cycle, so guests pay $12-14 for every 12 hours. Guests also have to go pay each time. We, on the other hand, have negotiated competitive rates with...

Was not staying at the Novotel, but attended a conference. Conference food and conference people were simply excellent! Have no idea about value, but the conference went off without a hitch. Happy to help print or whatever it took to get the program off right.

I want to start by saying that my girlfriend and I came up for a lacrosse game at the ACC and had a wonderful time in Toronto and at the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, the location is great (near ACC, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Rogers Centre, and the CN Tower). Breakfast was ok, not...

Thank you for taking the time to provide a thorough review of your recent stay with us. I apologize for the issues you experienced regarding parking. Although vehicles are parked under the hotel, the hotel does not own or manage the parking. The hotel has negotiated preferential tariffs and conditions for its guests.

Had the opportunity to spend five nights at the Novotel last week which included a five day exposure to their catering menu. Food was better than I was expecting. The hot dishes catered for our meetings were fresh, hot and tasty. During breaks, they really went all out to vary the snack foods - from delicious chocolate squares and muffins...

This hotel is perfectly situated close to the Air Canada Centre, Railway Station, Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower etc. Like many other guests I was there to watch sports. The first disappointment was the lack of sports channels on TV. The rooms are otherwise OK but nothing fantastic. Beds are like the rooms, good but not excellent. Breakfast is...

We stayed for one night. Chose this hotel due to it's location to the Sony Centre. Very convenient. Check-in was quick - desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was great. Some things might need a bit of an update, but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The construction noise at 7 a.m. was a bit...

Hotels get blamed for things over which they have no control. Guests aren't required to watch a video instructing them on how to behave in a hotel, although they should. So the various idiotic couples who thought it was perfectly fine to conduct a hall party on the sixth floor at 2 AM is clearly not the fault of the...

The Ritz Carlton it is not but this hotel is perfect for a city break. It is close to everything and has good bars and restaurants close by. The staff are helpful and friendly. Cafe Nicole is a nice bar/restaurant too. The rooms are spacious and comfy with everything you need. Housekeeping was good and left extra towels when requested....

Awesome location! 3 blocks to Air Canada Centre! Lots of fun bars n restaurants! Pretty nice beds. Comfy rooms! Wish they had somewhere to plug in my phone next to my bed... Is it just me or should that be required? Found an outlet under the bed close to me. Great spot in Toronto! Good fun location!!!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
