We ate in the restaurant. We did not stay in the hotel. The meal was delightful and creatively presented. We had a drink before the meal in the same pleasant, comfortable chairs. Our evening progressed with pleasure and just the right level of service. It was hard to miss a former Canadian Prime Minister at another table.

This tucked away little gem is worth a trip to Toronto just to experience the hotel. The staff is fabulous, the rooms luxurious, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. An in-house spa is an added plus for those incliment weather days of a trip. The afternoon tea is a must do (the scones are some of the...

We always stay at the Windsor Arms whenever we are in Toronto and on this occasion we were coming to do some Christmas shopping so we booked a couple of nights. As we arrived, there seemed to be media trucks and an army of personnel, together with police directing traffic. “Are you part of the production?” they asked. “No, we...

We stayed at the Windsor Arms at the end of our anniversary travels, and were very happy with our choice. The location is great, with multiple restaurants within easy walking distance, and the Royal Ontario Museum just a block away. The breakfast in the AM is an appreciated service, and all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. There was a...

I just returned from a visit to my hometown of Toronto and another stay at the Windsor Arms. Even though I arrived on Christmas Day when the hotel was busy with all sorts of holiday parties, the reception was warm and the staff attentive. We were given an upgraded suite for our four-night stay and the room was spacious, very...

It is hard to find a quiet spot in the hustle and bustle of Toronto in December. The Windsor arms is an oasis – close to all the shopping and great restaurants – but as soon as you step through the doors it's In a world of its own. The service is impeccable, the rooms well appointed and comfortable and...

Stayed in a beautiful room here one night before a business meeting. My room had a large living room area, big bedroom and the bathroom had a soaker tub and separate shower stall. The room was beautifully decorated. The service at the hotel was great. A personalized note with small dessert squares were in the room when I arrived. Holiday...

If you want a good night's sleep, stay far-far away from this hotel. Here's why: My wife and I booked a night at this hotel as our first night away from our 15-month old daughter. We thought we'd finally get a good night’s sleep. The hotel has a very quiet, old world feel to it. It seemed like a very...

This is one of my favourite places for either afternoon or twilight tea. There is a good selection of teas and the sandwiches, scones and deserts are never disappointing! The service is exceptional and the wait staff are efficient and experienced. The setting is comfortable as well. I have never been disappointed. The hotel's food is exceptional as are the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
