Stayed at Novotel on a business trip to Toronto. It is a basic hotel with average rooms. The staff is very friendly and it has easy access to the subway station on the Yonge Street line that goes downtown in 30 minutes.

Friendly staff, Thank you, basic rooms, oops ... need to do something about that. Just finished total refurb of 90 bathrooms, all look great and good feedback so far. And i hope that we will be installing new carpet in another 80 rooms by the end of the month - fingers crossed.Cheers, Michael

The hotel itself is clean and well kept. The location is really good - right across from a mall with Loblaws, Cineplex, Dollarama, etc. And the entire block has tons of really good restaurants - Milestones, Baton Rouge and many cool sushi and thai places. Only thing I found odd was the wooden barn-style doors on the washroom. And, it's...

Thanks for your feedback, how many times have i said it before, it's all about the location. And we have that, ideally situated just off Yonge Street, North of the 401, we are in the middle of everything in North York. Thanks for sharing, regards, Michael.

Stayed for one night. Checked in online ahead of time and was nice to have 17$ parking with in/out privileges. Dining looked very simple but ok so we went across street with many various options. Room was as requested and clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet and no noise even though it was close to elevator. Coffee maker made very...

Thanks very much for your feedback. Just wanted to advise everyone that you can now check in online, no waiting at the hotel, simply pick up your key and go straight to your bedroom. Very easy process. Try it on your next visit. Thank you, Michael.

Downtown North York is not new, but the Novotel at Yonge and Empress remains a fresh fixture in the fluctuation of that intersection's South West corner. We booked a one night stay on a 3rd party site for a brief get away from the the blah winter weather. This intersection is a great place to come to and then jump...

Many thanks for the detail in your review, especially the parking... I always encourage guests to unload baggage first and then proceed to the parking, simply follow the signs to the designated hotel area. Leave the car during your stay and take advantage of the subway and the TTC, the public transport service. Will get you anywhere you need to...

We stayed at this hotel for two days last week, visiting for a funeral. the hotel is well located for anything going on in the North York area, it is central to restaurants, shopping etc parking is adequate, underground, and accessible, The biggest Pro for me is a staff member, Adam, working in the restaurant. We met him on our...

Adam, what a great guy, and has been nominated for the Toronto Spirit Awards in category of Best Service Ambassador, will he win? We'll see soon. Alergies, so many of them today, it is hard work for all restaurants to be alert to them. We work hard to involve our team members to ensure they have some basic knowledge of...

Entrance of hotel and rooms are more updated than the hallways. It's deceiving. The room had a walkin shower which is great if you didnt want a bath. Rooms are small like European rooms but cozy. If an agent books for you, they won't provide you the points. So, i wouldn't recommend if you were a frequent flyer with bookings...

Terrible hotel for any price paid. Peeling wallpaper, very dim lighting with very odd fixtures built into bed frame. Noisy - could hear conversations in rooms down the hall and ringing from the elevator.

Oh Dear, well I have said it many times, you cannot please all the people all the time, we just have to keep working hard to get it right. We are soon starting another phase of our three year plan of refurbishment. Recently finished another 90 bathrooms, look grrrrrrreat. Cheers, Michael.

Here for a work trip. Restaurant over priced, rooms nothing exciting to write home about, ok staff - friendly and helpful. It's just a normal hotel. But goodness, the location was PERFECT for our business trip. Right next to a subway stop, mall food court right there.

What more can i say, it is about location and we are ideally situated, whether for business or leisure, however i would also like to think we offer great service and value for money. Clean rooms and a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.. Thanks, Michael
