I've stayed at this hotel several time and each time was exquisite. Jump in the hot tubs on the roof while you watch the big screen tv and sip on a drink. They have a lovely indoor pool as well. The atmosphere of this place is my favourite. Very European. The staff are always friendly and cater to your needs....

We had the 2 bedroom suite with a balcony and it was very Nice. Full kitchen. Really loved the roof top. The buffet for breakfast was ok. Not the best but good enough. The pool was nice as well. Would recommend it for a family visit. Get the hotel to book you reservations at the keg mansion. Great restaurant.

My long time GF and I found this hotel early April. We NEVER visited the country before nor traveled internationally before. But one thing is for sure, we wanted a convenient location, free wi-fi, free breakfast, and the luxury feeling. We got ALL of those. The hotel staff were SUPER friendly. Made you feel welcomed. Our TV in the living...

We spend 3 nights at Grand Hotel as part of a family vacation. The room/suit is very nice and for my 2 kids, age 6 and 9, the sofa bed was sufficient space but for slightly older children it may be problematic to sleep a full 2+2 family. We loved the hotel, the pool is very nice and well organised...

We had a quite comfortable room with a mini kitchenette. The only drawback would be that there was only one light in the bedroom (on one side of the bed, due to the sawfit). A second light could probably be clamped to the headboard or mounted above the bed on the other side. Ask for a room with a lakeside...

This is a solid choice for a hotel. The staff were really helpful; the shuttle driver asked if we wanted a lift, people helped us quickly. The room was good though the bathroom was very close to the bed, so privacy was a bit of an issue. I was pleasantly surprised by the gym. The rooftop terrace is nice. Breakfast...

A family of two adults and 2 kids, we stayed 2 nights at the Grand Hotel & Suites Toronto. The room was impeccable and quite big. A smal hall with a sofa bed and a TV served as the kids room. There was a small but very handy kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffee machine). the bathroom was clean, classy and roomy....

I found this hotel at the last minute. I decided late to find a hotel room in Toronto for the weekend of the annual Caribbean Festival. Most hotels were solidly booked; this one appeared to be available. I first did something many others suggest. I called the hotel and attempted to make a reservation. The hotel desk person told me...

Stayed at The Grand for a mixture of work and leisure. Consistent service and great facilities. The breakfast bar offers healthy food, my only comment is the coffee is terrible! I found the hotel to be in great proximity to attractions or otherwise public transport

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
