Stayed in this Hotel for two nights. The rooms are very nice and the stuff are very friendly. Despite the poor internet connection I had a very pleasant stay. The location is very central. The food in the restaurant was very good! Try the food when you stay its worth it! High quality.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of August to beggining of September. We we very impressed with both the hotel and the staff, it reminded me of the Titanic, meannig very Grand and elegant. The room was nice with a kitchenette, 2 TV'S Queen size bed, which we slept very well in and a...

nice and clean, staff were friendly, our break fast was included with the room but continental break fast wasn't that great, choice were limited, unless you order from the regular menu with pay, I rather pay flat rate and get quality continental first meal of the day,

The service is incredible, from the front door to the front desk to the restaurant and the housekeeping staff - all top notch! This place is spotless and fresh. The rooftop hot tubs with the huge video screen playing old school music videos??!? Does it get any better?! And the breakfast is fit for a king. Well done guys who...

What a great find! The Grand Hotel is situated "off the beaten path" and I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews about the homeless people in the area. After staying and exploring around the area of The Grand Hotel, however, I can say that this was NOT ONCE an issue. A safe and direct 10 minute walk to...

When you pay top money you expect top quality. The bed was uncomfortable with 2 people in it. When one moved the other felt it. The whole time there was a background humming noise. There was no room to move in the bedrooms and nowhere to put suitcases. The lighting was poor and there was no table to have meals....

Excellent staff and nice room. Roof top hot tubs nice (as long as you don't mind heights!). Walking out at night was odd - lots of homeless people asking for money - didn't really feel safe although it was. No access into building without steps - seems strange - don't they have to have disabled access? Breakfast was good but...

This Hotel truly understand the meaning of respect. You truly feel like royalty while you stay here. I can wait to go on business trips because stay at the Grand hotel is a vacation. Most restaurants in hotels are okay .. The Citrus is an excellent restaurant. We always sit on the patio which is so beautiful and comfortable. Our...

2 bedroom suite was awesome. Lots of room. Hot tubs on rood were amazing (1 is hotter than the other.) Went to Toronto for 5 days to see Blue Jay and attractions. Only issue was that the breakfast got repetitive. No variation day to day.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
