From the moment I registered, I felt very welcomed at this hotel. Employees were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. When in the area would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends! Thanks Chelsea Eaton

Location is amazing. Right in heart of downtown. Really comfortable beds. You can hear when people flush and walk above and in corridors. The sounds coming in from the street were so loud (sirens, people yelling horns). Worth the price but bring earplugs.

Just had a one night stay here and got in late, so I couldn't be bothered to change. The room smelt like someone had sprayed cheap flowery perfume in it to cover up whatever. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was blistering from water damage and there was no venting to be had. There were some stains on... More

Pricey, but you are right down town Toronto. No fridge, poor lighting and the TV was grainy. They have a parking lot right beside hotel. I left around 5-6 am each morning and returned after 6 each night. I used the underground parking at $29 per night. My husband came up my last night there and used outside parking lot.... More

Had no choice but to stay at the Chelsea...Toronto was full. I was given a room on the 7th floor facing Gerrard St. It was THE noisiest hotel room I've ever tried to sleep in, and I stay at hotels >50 nights a year. Was woken up at least 4-5 times each of the 2 nights I stayed there. The... More

I stayed at Eaton Chelsea 3 nights for a work related conference. Overall, the hotel was average. I've been to cheaper hotels that have nicer rooms but the location is definitely convenient. Tired of the stairs. 10 floors to tackle as every elevator was full. The Eaton Chelsea is not only clean and attractive, it's in a very convenient location for downtown Toronto. During a "girls" weekend away, we were well cared for with adjoining rooms, a variety of restaurants to choose from under one roof, and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go - theatre, shopping and the CN Tower. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
