It is quite a walk from the down town area to the hotel, but this hotel is much cheaper than any downtown hotel. What you see is what you get. The room itself is not too bad. It is reasonably clean, the bed is OK and it is not too cold even if it is cold outside. But it is...

The room was clean with an attached en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there were two electric hobs, saucepans, cutlery, plates also in the room which allowed me to heat up a few beans bought in the nearby supermarket. The preprietor was friendly & recommended a place where I could buy a mobile phone when asked. The hotel, whilst...

Have stayed there two times. What more can you ask for a place a block from Chinatown, view of CN Towers, parking, rooms available facing away from street, quiet, with kitchenette, friendly helpful staff. The place is a bit old and not a two star look, but clean. Convenience to eateries in Chinatown is unbeatable. Streetcars are nearby.

I'm sorry your experience at our hotel was less than satisfactory. We try to provide good customer service but have clearly fallen short in this case.

What this building used to be is public housing. Now in private hands, they rent out hotel rooms. Cool. Except they also rent out rooms to those public housing in need people, so you are in the middle of hotel and public housing. That being said, this is a very inexpensive alternative to the egregious pricing that Toronto now sees,...

The Alexandra Hotel is a private hotel that offers affordable accommodation. We are definitely not a "public housing" building, so I am a bit confused about why you believe that to be the case! Anyways, I'm glad you found the location to your liking and appreciate that you have taken the time to review our hotel.

My boyfriend and I were on a one night getaway....we're on student budgets so this was perfect. Room was clean, staff was very friendly, building was not sketchy like some that we had looked at. Parking definitely a plus. Definitely will stay again if in Toronto!

My friend and I were on a student budget so at the time this was perfect for what we wanted. Our main requirements was no shared bathroom and clean. This ticked both boxes. Icing on the cake was the location which was good to explore the city.

About 5 minutes of walking to the chinatown with cheap parking. It's not too expensive, but the cleanliness was poor. The room smell bad (probably because of the really old carpet) and had to buy a "Frebreze" to get rid of the strong smell. They might try to charge you extras when booking online if you are not careful. Other...

Thanks for the review. We are sorry there were issues with the cleaning during your stay here. We replace carpets regularly and try to ensure a good standard of cleaning. The only extra charges a guest may have to pay are car parking fees and telephone charges. We try hard to keep our prices the same across all websites. Thanks...
