super Location at long/bloor subway station, quite, & clean. but, Breakfast is limited options. NO FREE internet wifi which is wierd because almost every place in downtown is covered by a free wifi except Marriott group. Do they still think of making money of internet on top of their high staying rates?

This Marriott is convenient. Beyond that, there is little to recommend it. Lobby and conference space have been renovated but rooms are lackluster. Ceilings are very low and whole place is depressing. During this stay, I was given a room on the first floor, which is where conference rooms are. My room (#135) was a ridiculously long walk from the...

My wife had booked a room with breakfast package for a quick stay at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel. A few days before our arrival, the hotel send an email (as they usually do) to see if there was anything they can do to make our stay or comfortable. I asked my wife to provide my Marriott Rewards number...

The location is ideal right above the Bloor/Yonge subway station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue which is a plus for some and minus for others the temp in the hotel is at 73. Pretty hot for those of us used to 66 overnight. We had our thermostat set at 60. the heat never dropped below 71....

Stayed at the Mariott Bloor for one night on business trip. Check-in was excellent and everything was perfect until I entered the room. The temperature was 69 degrees which is way too warm for me. I need a cool room to sleep with a nice duvet to keep warm. I changed thermostat to COOL and tried to set a lower...

I had a special request in trying to plan something for my husband's birthday and the room operations manager (Susan Anderson) truly went above and beyond! She even gave me her personal cell phone number just so I could reach her in case there was an issue. I'm really blown away - I've never had service like this at any...

This property is ideally located at Yonge & Bloor. You can walk to many great sites and restaurants, but you're also on top of both the North/South and East/West subway lines, giving you great access to the various interesting neighbourhoods this city has to offer. Other positives: a nice gym, friendly staff, a newly renovated concierge lounge and lobby, and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
