This is definitely not a boutique hotel nor anything fancy, but for the price and location, including wifi and an adequate simple breakfast you can't match it. We have stayed before and staff is friendly, we have found rooms large (we had the business suite) and satisfactorly clean, albeit bedding and furniture are showing their age. Wifi was great and...

If you idea of a good stay in a hotel is one that looks like it should be condemned, only has a single staff person on in the entire hotel, has 20 year old indoor outdoor carpeting in the room, cracks in the walls, and so on, by all means stay there. Otherwise, stay clear!

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently in the middle of replacing all of the carpeting in the hotel as well as refreshing the bathrooms, new linen is on the way and will be painting as well. This will certainly address the issues you mentioned. We hope you reconsider.

The hotel is a little old, but for what you're paying to stay in that location it's good value. Relatively close walking distance to TTC. The rooms are good sizes, with large beds. The duvets were a little strange, like lumpy cotton in a sheet, but the rooms were really warm so it didn't worry me. It is also located...

The main thing that stood out was that the sheets weren't washed before I was given my room. There were tons of hair strands and bodily fluid stains clearly visible on the sheets. After seeing that, what's the point of continuing the review? There were tons of other things wrong but who really wants to sleep in other people's hair...

It's a older hotel. It can use some renovations. The staff were friendly and the location was good for what I wanted. All in all was decent price and a okay stay I would stay here again if in the area.

The door in the bathroom would not close properly. Concierge was helpful getting around Toronto. Although I did have problems asking where the local laundry mat was. I got given incorrect directions which was inconvenient.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
