This hotel is fine if you are travelling on a budget. I travelled with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday in Toronto and the price was cheaper compared to other hotels in the area. The location is great but the rooms are rather small. We were also unaware that they charge $20 extra per person, even though we...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Clean and well presented. In a very central location for downtown Toronto. Rooms are clean and well laid out with the usual facilities. Only one downside which I hope has changed by now and that was the wifi was only free in lobby areas and had to be paid for via vouchers in the room. In this day and age...

I stayed in this hotel in 2014-2015 for business and although I stayed numerous nights back then, I did not expect to check in last week and find the charming Nelly still at the front desk, with his warm welcoming smile...and he remembered my name!! For years now, I have been staying in this hotel and it seems like there...

Hotel is a pain to get to by car. No parking available due to downtown location. Location is a long way from the lakeside but close to Eaton Centre. Located in a very cosmopolitan district. I was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Problem was I was staying only overnight. Overall a very busy place.

5 years since my last visit here and felt like it could have been 5 weeks ago. Very little if anything appears to have changed. Rooms in need of a bit of an upgrade / modernization. Having said that the hotel is still very well run, rooms clean with good service. Walk in shower in bathroom. Starbucks on site. Lobelaws...

Location is good Bathroom nice and clean Room very small and compact Woke up after first night with bug bites which were consistent with bed bugs. After telling front desk they were apologetic however the only compensation received was a free breakfast even though we n now need to do everything to get bed bugs off our clothing. Staff was...

I recently stayed at this hotel twice (a week apart) for work as it was close to the Toronto office and close to the venue for our large divisional meeting. Both stays were wonderful. The staff at the front desk are exceptionally pleasant...you can tell they like their job. Everyone was very helpful. The rooms are compact but very nice...

Stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Downtown and was impressed with the level of service. I was able to check in early and received a very warm welcome from the front desk. I did receive an upgrade and the room was excellent and nice and quiet even though you are in the middle of the city. A Good location...

I stayed for two days (three nights) on a short business trip from the UK. In the evening rush hour it was about 45 mins by taxi from Pearson. The hotel is reasonably well located on one of the subway lines. The hotel is large. The check in was great on arrival and the staff were very helpful. The whole...

This hotel has a bit of everything. Location is great, just a 60 second walk to the subway if you don't want to have the expense of taxis. Shopping is a block away (College Park) and there are restaurants within walking distance. Pricing (for a Toronto hotel) was pretty good. Not a big menu at the hotel if you don't...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
